Ok so apart from Face ID IMO just not being as good as Touch ID, I’ve found the battery life to be pretty poor?
It’ll last a day but currently it’s on 6hrs 19mins in screen time over the last 24hrs, so that’ll include a full charge, and the batteries now at 28%? Is this normal? Will have done a boat load of streaming, music and radio with the screen off plus Safari, You Tube and connected to my Apple Watch and Airpods for 40 mins.

Is this normal? I expected more.

Has anyone mentioned connectivity issues? Signal strength on my XR on Verizon has been quite good (better than my 8+). But about 50% of the time, when I leave a building with WiFi, my phone doesn’t connect to LTE. It’ll say I have service, but no apps work and texts don’t come through. Switching to airplane mode fixes it quickly. Still, incredibly frustrating when I don’t realize it happened. Today I didn’t notice for about 45 minutes, and had a bunch of texts not come through until I went in and out of airplane mode.

Have you reset network settings

Signal strength on my xr is poor compared to most phones I have used, but battery life is stellar. Despite my criticism of the notch and lack of headphone jack, I am very happy with the phone...

Compared to my 6s, I'm not sure if the signal strength of my XR is any worse, but I'm in a relatively rural area. Has signal strength ever been stellar on iPhones?

No. Since the iPhone 3, i have never had as many dropped calls as I have on iPhones... but the signal strength was better with the Qualcomm modems... the intel ones suck.

I like that the XR stripped back all the bells and whistles of the XS. It leaves less room for bugs and failures. Isn't that what Apple was all about? Less is more?

Stereo speaker (top) continues to stop working after several days, rebooting fixes so must be software related.

My iPhone XR had distortions in the display glass, returned it and got a replacement which is flawless
What kind of distortions?

With my XR, when I take a photo of an illuminated display (like the screen of another iPhone), the colors look way off and just awful. Anyone else have this issue? Try it...no flash, just take a photo of another iPhone screen.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Smart HDR

I wonder why the X series phones all exhibit this issue, but the 6,7,8 phones dont. My XR does it every few days but my 8+ never does it.

Blue iPhone XR bought on launch day. Absolutely my favourite iPhone to date. It is almost prefect. Only problem I’ve notice is that it does not rotate the home screen to landscape model like the older plus size devices. Why is that.
Not a big issue just trying to understand why apple would disable this.

I have a 6s plus, are you saying that the home screen can rotate in landscape mode?
How do you make it do that?

I have a really really really weird issue/ bug with my XR.

It only happens when watching You Tube, and only when I’m using my home internet on my Google WiFi.

When watching a video, the WiFi signal fluctuates up and down and then it just drops, the phone switched to EDGE or 4G etc then it goes back onto my WIFi, it randomly repeats then ONLY when I’m watching a You Tube video, browsing has no effect on it??

Any ideas? If I use it at work on its WiFi it works fine playing You Tube?

Have you tried any of the following?

Delete the youtube app and re-download it.
Reset network setting.
Turn the phone on and off.

My Xʀ is making my eyes feel funny which I don’t get at all as it’s just an LCD like my old 6s :-(

Not sure what to do as I’m outside the 14 day window
