Got a Genius Bar appointment Tuesday, will see what they say about the slow WiFi.
I’m eager to hear your story too. I returned my XR due to that issue. Went with XS and this never happened on XS. EVery single test I run side by side between XR, XS and my old 6s put the XR 50% slower on WiFi vs the other two phones.

My Xr WiFi rips! Still on 12.0.1 not sure if related but

F1 serial no to match f1 speeds ;)

The only thing would be overnight battery drain, last night with all apps closed went from 60-50% which seems excessive.

Thoughts on the below for a 4 week old xr? Seem reasonable or a little bit low?

It doesn’t happen every time weirdly, sometimes it’s absolutely fine like last night it was getting 25mbps... but then this morning it was getting 1.60! Quite frustrating!

I experienced slow WiFi right after the restore when I got the Xr. Deleting the WiFi and reconnecting to it fixed it. Now I consistently get speeds in 300-400 Mbps range.

Other than that has been perfect thus far. Battery life is the bomb! My old iPhone 6s I often had to charge in the middle of the day to make it through. Now I often have 75-80 % battery left in the evening without mid day charging.

I bought the XR to my wife on day 1 and she loves it.

Only a strange problem till now for which I have to take an appointment with a Genius Bar: on random basis and roughly once a week her FaceID fails but instead of prompting the keyboard for the PIN code, the phone gets deactivated for a minute.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I returned my first XR because the speaker in the earpiece kept going out and the only way to fix it was to reboot the phone. Tried an 8+ as a replacement instead and while I think its a nice phone, it's not as nice as the XR. Got a replacement XR this week and so far no issues whatsoever. Screen is beautiful, battery life is tremendous, and so far the speakers have been great.

I just traded in a 256GB 7+ for my new red 128GB XR (I wasn't using all that space), and I really like this phone. I didn't think I was going to like it but I'm blown away by how nice it is. The display itself seems on the warmer side but so was the 7+ so I'm cool with it. Only problem is I think it's slightly yellower near the bottom. I hear this is normal, I'm going to go check out some display models today. It may also just be my eyes and/or the viewing angle. I really don't want to play the exchange game though since everything else is working great and I even got my eSIM set up on T-Mobile (a whole other battle). I don't have any connectivity issues, the reception is actually better than the 7+ ever was and THAT BATTERY LIFE.

Also Animojis are so stupid yet so much fun to use.

Turn off True Tone, many people (including myself) think that it makes the display too warm. Also congrats on setting up eSim with T-Mobile, I will tackle that next year once mine gets unlocked.

I have it turned off, I agree it makes it too warm. Like I said, I don’t mind a slightly warm display, I just want uniformity. For the most part I think mine already has it, but I’ll check out some display models later. If they all look similar to mine great, if not I’ll still probably keep it, I don’t feel like playing the exchange game anymore. If it’s not uniform it still isn’t nearly as bad as the iPad Air 1 was, that screen was atrocious.

Yeah, the whole T-Mobile eSIM thing is insane, I was able to do it via T-Mobile app chat by just saying I needed to do a SIM swap. Apple accidentally deactivated my old SIM when I tried for and was denied on the IUP, so I ended up paying the difference instead. I had no service so I needed to get it to work. The guy I got on 611 was totally useless and said he can get me a free SIM in five days, or pay $20 for two days. Lol, okay.

Let me know what you see when you check the other displays. Mine is a little more warm at the bottom also and it bugs me some. I’m trying to get over it. ‍♂️

If you are viewing this webpage, does anyone see like a shadow around the notch? I think it’s my eyes but I’m not sure? Only see it on white backgrounds.

Omg I thought I was going mad! Just registered to ask about this, got mine on thursday. Mine has a faint blue shadow around the corners and notch and is so annoying. And it’s so frustrating because we bought another XR and that one looks pristine. So silly.
I have an appointment this week, anyone has asked in one of the stores about this? Maybe they’ll replace it?

I also took this last image from the apple forums, apparently is a very widespread issue

So as a follow up, I did check out display units at Best Buy today and there really wasn’t that much of a difference really. My display is slightly warmer overall which is whatever, I turned on a color filter for that. I’ve already bonded to this phone anyway - sent those damn stupid but fun Animojis, showed it off, got my eSIM activated on T-Mobile, and raved over the amazing battery life. I’m not playing the stupid exchange game for a problem that’s not even really there. There are many iPhone XRs out there, but this red one is mine.

I took my phone off my (Samsung) wireless charger this morning at 8:00, now here it is after 12:30 - more than 16.5 hours later - and the phone has hit 3%. No low power mode at all. That’s insanity for an iPhone battery, holy ****.

I have a problem with uneven brightness around the edges, especially on the upper right edges. It can be seen on solid colours but not on black. So it is no regular screen bleeding. White screen is flawless.
Hope you can see the lighter blue on the right side. It is difficult to catch it on a picture.

In reallity it is quite visible and annoying.

Are you gonna do a display swap at the Genius Bar?

Think i can barely see what you’re talking about from that pic but hard to tell

My 1st Red XR was returned within minutes of opening. The back seam on the bottom of the XR was rough, feeling like an unfinished edge.

With my second XR, Wifi is unusable compared to an iPhone 7+. In lower WiFi signal areas, I’m getting 7 megabits per second on the XR where I’m getting 45+ megabits a second on the 7+.

Since I’m comparing the XR to an iPhone 7+ the screen is too narrow for my taste. The 10-15% reduction in page width uncomfortably shrinks the onscreen text.

So far the XR is Coming across as an over-priced upgrade that feels like a downgrade.

Looks like I’ll be taking the XR back tomorrow.

Not really issues but as above the screen is narrow compared to the Max I had previously and noticeably so. Perhaps I'll get used to it.
The lack of 3D Touch on the keyboard, it was very useful to quickly move between letters and words when typing.
Aluminum doesn't feel as premium as stainless steel.
I find the display less vibrant.
On a good note, Face ID seems to be faster on the XR than on the Max, is anyone else noticing that?

I'm not shure if it is a typical issue for the XR screen.
The problem is, that colours become brighter towards the edge (hard to see on the pic)
