Yeah and that campaign was in regards to the Mac vs. PC and it was 100% true. I don't recall Apple ever stating their online services "Just work".

Sorry to be blunt and honest but you should always have a backup plan if it involves your business so this is really your own fault.

lol How? So I should have an andriod phone and another monthly phone plan JUST IN CASE apples services are down? lol.

Can confirm. I've been having problems with iOS App Store and Mac iTunes store for a couple of hours now.

Kind of ridiculous, that social media is already full of reports, but the Apple System Status still display all-is-good green icons everywhere.

What is the point of such system status page then?

https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

Still down here in CA.

I too echo: What is the point of such system status page????

Hello Apple? Anyone Home?

World Class Company... All Talk Plenty of Hype at Presentations, yet in real world day to day operations communication is ignored.

I understand down time, it happens, but at least they could come out from hiding.

This is pitiful

Taking a page straight from the government operating manual.

You are relying on the internet to be perfect which is not a smart thing to do, especially when it involves your business. I don't know why you're unable to open your Lyst app but I just opened 8 of my daily apps and none of them required me to enter a password even though the store is down.

But go ahead sir and blame Apple because according to you, they are running YOUR business, not you.
:p

I have the same issue as that guy, cannot open any third-party apps. Maybe it's because I restarted the phone, or did a hard reset, or maybe just my geographical location. But none of the apps are opening.

It's probably not as frustrating for you since how many apps do you download a day/week? Chances are not too many. But I cannot use the phone for anything, which is a way bigger issue than not being able to download an app at the moment. Cheers.

I think you may be a littler bitter about your now job situation or a little jealous sir. The fact I cannot open the Lyft app IS apples fault, and yes my business depends on the internet, the business wouldn't work without it. I can't open any app without it asking for my iTunes password.

We should ask samsung why App Store is down since yesterday?!

Why till now Apple silent?!!!

Thought it was my fibre connection, but guess not.
And of course, this happens the instant I bought an entire season of "F-Troop" ....

Oh, well. Hey people, use this free time AND GO OUTSIDE.

This is unacceptable. I pay good $ for this (iTunes match and other Apple storage). There needs to be some sort of compensation for this outage.
:(

Some business models rely on apps, some don't. This will affect different people in different ways, and the way you work isn't the way other people work or even can work.

So let's not discus how people should run their business or phones or even lives. In the end this can be a nuisance or a big pain in the but, depending on your needs and use.

This should be the nail that closes apples coffin once and for all.

Or they'll be back online in a bit. Relax.

This is not the first time issue with Apple ID authorization. I could understand if service was down for 2 hours but if it's down more then they really loose their quality of service. I'm presonally loose money as well as Apple. My apps doesn't sale at the moment because of the Apple issue with Apple ID. I pay to this bastards 30% of profits plus 100 bucks every year. I'm angry.

Still out...

Still out in SC - does apple give any clue of a timeline of when servers will be up?

Why not send Apple an invoice detailing your financial loss to the penny as a result of the services being down... I'm sure you are truly suffering..

Your post sounds more like an "I'M ENTITLED" whine than a real financial loss.
