Yes! Good points. If GIZMODO was able to open this device up, why did not they report any internal characteristics. Also they say they do not know the size of the flash, but I am sure an internal flash component will report its size on the part.
Also I am surprised that reported screen is smaller than iPhone 3GS?
Ok I have been following this all weekend.
1. I am pretty sure this is the real phone, not a mule or whatever the deniers are claiming. Giz gives numerous reasons, but also the design is kind of in line with many other apple devices. It actually reminds of the imac. The near identical looking front and back is nice. The round buttons are better than the lame rocker, and can be used as separate buttons in other apps. Theres not really much way to make it thinner except to make it flat. I would say the only argument that has legs is that it is not "organic" which Apple likes to claim about all its products, and that it can look pretty generic...but the Gizmodo shots really show it off.
2. Giz has been sitting on this story. They have had the phone for about a week. They bought it, I believe. They only posted now, because Engadget found a copy and was getting their scoop. Since Gizmodo acquired, not found, the phone, they have made a deal with the source to not display its internals. Or more likely, the are waiting to to post the internals in a few days...for another boost to their page hits. They have had a week to dissect it.
3. The story about leaving it at the bar? possible. I am sure they are field testing the phone now, including the video chat. The people who caused this though...I envision the scene from Back to the Future III where Marty gets fired.
