Yep. That’s something I can finally upgrade my series 0 to.
Yeah in the same boat here. But I really don’t want to have to pay monthly for a cellular plan. Thinking maybe I’ll just buy it unlocked and not hook it up with data. I think it’ll still get texts through my iPhone

That is NOT an extra Mic. It is a hard reset button. With the side button and wheel becoming haptic, there needs to be a way to manually reboot a watch — hence the need for the extra hole/hard reset button.

I wonder if we'll see haptic side buttons on the iPhones this year too?

Like it has been said before you you don't have to buy the LTE model. You also are not required to connect the LTE to a plan for it to work. It will work just like the non-LTE model. They also come unlocked to begin with.

I have a day one Apple Watch Series 0. It works pretty well for notifications, but can feel slow pulling up weather or ESPN, to where the screen goes back to sleep before updating. Don't know if that's the network or the watch. Can anyone who once owned the same comment on how much faster or snappier the series 3 feels? I feel it might finally be time to upgrade. Thanks.

I’m on a Stainless Steel 1st gen and I really like the stainless steel finish and sapphire glass. As I understand with Series 3 if you want stainless steel it has to be cellular-equipped?
It does. But you still don't need to activate a cellular option if you don't want to.

It's the watch. The first gen is just pig slow. Honestly always was in my experience. Wife is still using one but she basically cares about checking the time and texts, so it works for her needs.

In a way, as much as I’m glad to see the new Series 4, I would rather have been surprised in a keynote to actually see the leak. Regardless, it looks like it’s almost slimmer, possible haptic power button, the red dot has been reduced, altogether, looks like it’s going to be much improved with the larger display as well.

Pretty bored of these incremental updates to the look. iMac, MacBook Pros, iPhones, iPads, and especially Apple Watch have remained largely unchanged for years. With the exception of the new screen on the iPhone X, nothing about the devices makes me have that old "gotta have the new one" feeling any more. :(

I think that’s because these devices are kinda at the limits, what more could an iPhone be? It’s already a bit of a PC replacement, or the Apple Watch? I personally love the look of both. The Apple Watch gets a bigger screen, not sure how useful that’s going to really be but it’s an welcome upgrade, maybe making it a bit thinner would be great but not at the expense of better battery life, more health feature would be great but the tech just isn’t there yet and this is why we’re seeing slower upgrades.

I agree the new devices no longer have the must upgrade now feel like in the past but my wallet appreciates this!. We can get a good 3 years out of a cell phone now, Apple Watch may be heading this way too, especially if the next set of health features are in the bands vs the watch

Exactly where I am. And if you think about it, that adds value to the product you bought in my eyes. You're putting the money you spend to good use for much longer.

Side button doubles as sim tray.
Doubtful. The previous watch didn't have a sim tray. Doesn't make sense to add one.

That is the ugliest thing they leaked.
I am willing to take one for the team though.
White ceramic with the large face.

I like the watch face

It is a very big difference. I went from 0 to 3. Most stuff opens pretty much instantly. Complicated stuff that has to pull info opens in 2 or 3 seconds. Battery life improvement means for me that I can sleep with the watch and recharge daily during my morning shower. If I forget to charge it in the morning, it is still fine until I go to sleep the next night and then I just don't sleep with it on that night and recharge it over night. You should upgrade and get this new version as that will be faster still.

What’s that hole next to the crown ?!?
That is used to slowly suck more money out of your wallet and send it to Apple via Apple cash.

I would guess barameter or mic.
Perhaps to support better pressure readings for climbing, skiing and diving.

That watch face is ugly as hell to the point I couldn’t believe it’s actually real.

I wonder if Apple has considered using a flexible display extended over the bracelet.
