The haptic botton would be much appreciated as the current click twice for apply pay for most of the time goes to my dock.

My favorite part is that the red dot has been reduced to a thin red circle! Wish they could get rid of it entirely, but this is much better than leaving it the way that it was.

That watch face is way too cluttered. I mean, it’s kinda nice to have an option for an information dense display, and it makes sense if the new display face is bigger that they could pack more in. But things that look like this are supposedly the reason that Apple hasn’t allowed third party developers to design custom watch faces—it makes the watch look bad. That being said, they did about the best job you could possibly do when it comes to fitting that many complications on the display at once. I didn't even notice the calendar event text until I had looked at it for full minute.

I thought it was interesting that the original story on 9to5Mac didn't say anything about the rose gold stainless steel enclosure.

Watch face looks great, other agree on here.

Would you like cheese with your whine?

I'm in. My S0 has served me well, but it's time for an upgrade. Bigger screen and more functionality will be nice for the next few years.

So this gold ring image is supposed to represent the new digital crown for Gold watch?

326381-640.jpg

Sure looks like the new Digital Crown design to me. Edit: Actually, after looking at the leaked image of the Series 4 again, it’s not the same. Oh well...it’s hinting at gold iPhones (which we now know are coming), anyway.

Is it not weird that for all 9 of those complications not one is the heart rate?

So beautiful... take my money!

What is that UVI thing on the watch face?? A new sensor detecting the UV?
Someone probably already said it, but the UV index is provided in the Weather app in watchOS 5.

I too was hoping for a round watch (and decent battery life)
You're asking for two rather incompatible things in the context of a smartwatch.

People: We need larger batteries
Apple: Here, take larger displays

I dunno. I finish the day with 75% battery. and I never cared for having multi-day battery. You take your watch off at night anyway....
I'd rather have a bigger screen and/or a thinner case.

As it is, the battery is pretty good. I've used my Apple Watch Series 2 (the first Series 2) on a 7 hour trail run and it lasted the whole time - and that wasn't even using workout power saving mode! Can't wait to upgrade to this.

That Watch face looks way too busy. What are you supposed to be glancing at? I wouldn’t even know what to look at there’s just too much noise there. At least make it look nice, I don’t understand anyone saying how it does. Just a cluster of information slapped on the front with no thought put behind it. Then again that’s what I’ve been to myself about all of Apples software descions as of late.
I don't understand these posts. Folks are commenting as though the image shows the only possible watch face. The image, I would surmise, is intended to show you the new possibilities of the larger screen area, not some hard design layout being forced on the user.

Didn't new Macbook just come out a few months ago? Wth another update?
There’s MacBook and MacBook Pro. MacBook hasn’t been updated yet, it’s rumored for October. Two of three MacBook Pro models were updated last month, those are the ones you’re talking about.

The third MacBook Pro model and MacBook Air haven’t been updated either; it’s speculated that they’ll be merged into a single, new model that’s also expected at the October event.

I think it looks nice but I don’t see the noticable changes everyone else has been chiming in with. That watch face does nothing to show a larger display vs. the previous models, at least to my casual observation. That watch face looks like it would fit on my Series 2 display without issue. Same goes for thinness. The margins around the buttons and watch band ‘lugs’ seems the same as my current watch.

Regardless, I’m happy with the design as I’ve been a fan of the original. I’m hoping for a higher display ratio as rumored—just don’t see it in this leaked photo. And the replacement of the red digital crown is very welcome.

The face is the same size, but the bezels are smaller, i.e. there’s less dead space between the active screen area and the metal case.

Wait to be clear the consensus for now is that screen is 15% larger not the overall case correct?

Also I am really hoping for more health sensors and the speaker to be louder. It’s better on the S3 but it can always be louder. Battery I usually get 2 days from which I’d good but I’ll never not take more battery!
