That's exactly what I'm doing, it's the comments about updating asap based on next to no Information except a picture that looks exactly like all the other previous AWsWait until 12th and find out the facts and then make a decision.
I love this new face. I’m hopeful that the current screen size will also get similar (or same) face(s) with more complications.
Upgraded last year from original to series 3 LTE and it looks like I should have waiting one more year. If that’s an accurate watchface I’m ready to upgrade again.
Maybe it's just me, but I definitely prefer round watch faces over this cluster F.
Apple is suffering from a major leak that has allowed 9to5Mac to discover images of the upcoming "iPhone XS" models and the Apple Watch Series 4, giving us an idea of what to expect when the new devices are announced on September 12.
As can be seen in the photo below, the new Apple Watch models feature smaller bezels for more visible screen space, which allows for new complications arranged in a round configuration, which could be a nod to the media invites that went out earlier today.

Rumors have suggested the displays of the new Apple Watch models are 15 percent larger, which appears to be in line with the video.
Apple is clearly planning to introduce at least one new watch face, which appears to be able to support a total of eight complications. Four complications are included on the watch face itself, underneath the hands, while another four are located at the edges of the display.
Interestingly, the Apple Watch in the image features a shiny gold enclosure, which appears to be shinier than previous aluminum models, perhaps suggesting a stainless steel option with a gold finish. It could also be shiner in the Apple marketing materials, though.
There's a new hole below the Digital Crown, which is perhaps another microphone, and the Digital Crown has a red outline rather than a full red dot.
Apple will unveil the Apple Watch Series 4 models alongside new 2018 iPhones on September 12, at a 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time event that's set to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus. Apple will live stream the event, but for those who cannot watch, MacRumors will be featuring live coverage both on the site and on our MacRumorsLive Twitter account.

That Watch face looks way too busy. What are you supposed to be glancing at? I wouldn’t even know what to look at there’s just too much noise there. At least make it look nice, I don’t understand anyone saying how it does. Just a cluster of information slapped on the front with no thought put behind it. Then again that’s what I’ve been saying to myself about all of Apples software descions as of late.
I’m as big an Apple Watch fan as anybody but isn’t it frustrating that you may have to upgrade just to get a new watch face?? Or are you referring to the slimmer bezels?
That feature has been on the Watch since day one.
plan on getting 5 of these beauties
2 as birthday presents
2 as thank u's to family members
1 for me
The only way to get a rectangular watch face that actually fit the rectangular design was to buy a Hermès watch. Why would this be any different?

If you believe the leaked screen measurement, the red rectangle below represents the new screen. Except the display corners will have to be rounded since I don’t think it’s possible to run the screen to less than 0.5mm from the edge of the body.Love to upgrade as my original series 0 is feeling it’s age now, but whilst I love that watch face, I can’t say it looks like the screen is much bigger. Still looks like a MASSIVE border when you look at the edges.
Take the very bottom of the watch face and make a line to the edge, it is just at after the point the watch corner curves. That’s the same as my watch, perhaps, at most, 1mm lower, but I’m not even sure of that. I thought the border would be much smaller.
Perhaps it needs to be seen in person side by side.
I wonder if Apple is brining whatever gold they’re adding to the iPhone X to the Apple Watch. It looks different than the current rose gold aluminum Watch. Maybe it’s just the CGI but I’m skeptical.
Looks nice, but we still can't really tell how thick the remaining bezels are because Apple always uses black apps in their marketing to take away focus on the bezels. My main gripe is the crappy battery life, so I hope that gets improved. Also happy they took away that stupid red dial and made it more subtle. Will be a nice addition to my XS plus.
I think it looks great. Have you seen those super expensive Swiss watches? They have crap all over their face, and maybe a tourbillon if you can blow enough cash. Some have a glass back so you can see even more mechanics.
If you glance at that face every hour over days and weeks, you will very, very quickly get used to it, and know what to ignore and what not to.
Keep in mind, that there are plenty of other watch faces you can select. I like that they have this option, at least, of having as much information as possible. If that's not your bag, you can use something like the "Simple" face with 4 complications and no watch numbers (my preferred one). And every complication can be activated or not – it's all your choice.
I’m on a Cellular Series 3 and since 6:30am this morning (now 18:13), I’m still on 88%.
Can’t remember the last time I saw it in the 70’s and I do use it for texting and alerts etc, just not for voice calls.

Only Cellular on the one watch face though isn’t it?
It’s not anodised aluminium, it looks like a gold plated stainless steel case, like the frame on the iPhone XS.I wonder if Apple is brining whatever gold they’re adding to the iPhone X to the Apple Watch. It looks different than the current rose gold aluminum Watch. Maybe it’s just the CGI but I’m skeptical.

That's why they introduced Touch Bars, right?More people want large screens and Apple would know better because they know their customers.
