That argument misses the point that cheap capable VR has been around for a few years with Meta. The Quest 3 does more than VP at a tiny fraction of the price. Sure it doesn’t have an 8k screen but it’s very high resolutionThis place always makes me laugh, its too small, it's too big, its too expensive, its too niche, apple don't innovate anymore - the list is endless but what do we know here really ?
Just go back and look at other apple hardware launches on here and have a good chuckle at the comments....although hindsight is 20/20
I think 99% of everyone with the first price reveal knew it wasn't for them but give it a few gens and it might be.
I'd be honestly surprised if they didnt sell out.
If I was rich it would be bought day 1.
The issue is VR. It’s amazing at first. But after a while the novelty wears out except for very niche use cases because wearing a couple of pounds on your face sucks.
Until Apple can change that - VR will always be niche. And this thing is -heavy-
This isn’t an iPhone. That was also expensive and limited in capability at first but it looked amazing at the time and fit in your pocket. And it was maybe 3-4x more expensive than other smartphones (?) not 7x more
There’s -zero- way this thing catches on widely in Version one. That’s why it’s called the “Pro”.
