Is this the BIG announcement concerning the iPhone 4 we that was rumored for today... NOT an announcement/update about recpetion issues, but an ego boost that completely overlooks the launch problems....

smh. The sales number ALWAYS come on the Monday following the launch.

No problems with my new iPhone 4. I've used it heavily since buying it on release day, and it works great: solid reception (no dropped calls), much faster data, super fast OS, and a joy to have around in my pocket. All in all an amazing device that's in every way Apple quality.

And I'm left-handed...

Not if it has as many problems as the iP4 has. Dropped calls, yellow spots on screen…

How did that "yellow spots…problem" turn out, exactly? Clears up in a few days, according to the reports I've seen. No one's mentioning it any more, except a few people like you.

There may be a reception problem. But you undermine your argument when you dredge up "problems" that according to reports, turned out not to be. It's intellectually dishonest.

Why not? Do you not have hands?

Maybe because he doesn't hold it in the death grip?

People do hold their phones differently. I can hold the iPhone 4 in my left hand and manage not to touch the lower left hand corner and still be comfortable.

now fix the damn reception issue and dropped call...

La, la, la… Not listening…

Nice job apple, I bought the phone on the second day. Don't know how I never noticed how crappy the 3G screen display was. I could never go back.

So a phone that drops calls when you touch it is a success?

like to see the numbers for the amount of returns

...and McDonald's sells approximately 4.2 million hamburgers a day in the United States alone!

Question is, of course, how good they are for you and are they really worth your money?

I'm enjoying the sour grapes from the usual suspects. I'm enjoying even more my new iPhone 4, which hasn't dropped a call for me yet (despite the FUD and mass hysteria).

Great job on a beautiful device, Apple. Here's to many millions more. :apple:

I have hands and an iPhone

Why not? Do you not have hands?

... and I can't make it drop signal for the life of me. While I'm sure this is a problem, it's not happening to everybody ( or every device? ). If 1.7 million people couldn't make phone calls - we'd here more about it than what's on this forum.

I still think people's own "conductivity" has a lot to do with it as well.

Count me into that 1.7 million. Even with some flaws, I do love the device so far.

How many Nexus Ones have been sold? 300,000?

i don't see the point of the nexus one comment. I mean, totally different model. How many android phones are activated every day?

So just because YOU are not having a problem you don't think anyone else is?

It does drop the call!!! Since owning the iP4, I have had a total of 6 dropped calls.

I NEVER had any dropped calls with the iP2G, 3G or 3GS on O2_UK.

I had two dropped calls with my 3G on O2, so what?

I have no problem with my iPhone 4 so far, but I switched to VF regardless.

No Issue Here

I've tried to decrease the bars by gripping it tightly on all sides with both hands and my signal was still full (Houston, TX). Perhaps this issue is overblown? Regardless, Apple should put a cap (or case) on this issue so all "4" owners can move on.
