Then they go on to talk about FARMVILLE for 5 minutes....

Guys.... 70. Million. Users. Daily.

if 70 million people don't deserve a mention... what does?

i am not into farmville... but jeez man, it's 70 million people. i would certainly expect a hat tip in their direction.

I absolutely love everything about it.

I just have 2 complaints
1. Why did they stay with the ugly blue colour & pinstripes in iOS 4? I thought they were over that with the iPad..
2. The ugly thing above the speaker grill on the white iPhone 4

Statements 1 and 2 contradict your above headliner. :p

Peoples need to find a gang and then shout about how great they are is pathetic. Simple fact is that there are now great phones and mobile OS's available to all of us. I actually think the sad Android fanboys are now worse than the Apple fanboys.

Get a life

Think AT&T service is bad? Just wait until you experience Sprint.

Yeah, I hate how Sprint actually keeps my calls going without dropping them. Dont they know I like to use my re-dial button over and over? And damn Sprint for allowing me to tether for free!!! How dare they! And damn them for allowing me to make free video calls...to other phones or (GASP) to computers!

Glad they have the 802.11n Wi-Fi and curious to see what the gyro thing does.

Not sure what the point is about 802.11N support. Seriuosly...a)who has N?! and b)the iPhone itself still is pretty slow on G compared to any computer on the same G network. Not to mention that G is theoretically ALREADY much faster than 99% of people's home 10-16Mbit downstream internet connection. I guess this was just a checkmark in some employee's box that iPhone needed N.

Can't wait to get my hands on one of these! I hope UK pricing is similar to the US. Bye bye Blackberry Curve...

Android market has infinitely better apps that would never be allowed on the iPhone (unless you jailbreak it). And on the Android marketplace, if you buy an app, you have 24 hours to use it and decide for yourself if its worth the money or not. Refunds if you dont like it. What did Apple give us today? Another way for them to take more money from developers of ads via iAds. Greedy ******s.

It works both ways. It is another revenue source for apple, and it may encourage devs to include ads whereas they wouldn't before, but it also protects us from malicious ads or ads that we accidentally click and make us switch to safari to open it, all from a mistake. For some, they don't want the hand-holding while others prefer it for a more seamless experience. I'm one of the latter as I can have my unchained experience on my desktop/laptop etc.

MicroSIM + AT$T + only 32 GB = no new iPhone for me.

Seriously, this MicroSIM is some stupid *****. I swap the SIM from my iPhone into some crappy old phone when doing dirty work, and buy prepaid simcards to use in the phone when traveling overseas to avoid getting r@ped by AT$T.

um, sure it's "useless" ... you would know that. because you only need the somewhat LESS resolution of the EVO. THAT is the right amount. and no more.

(that is a really stupid argument, by the way)

and yes, vastly superior (ie. real) HD video recording. which you can't do. so i guess it's not EVERYTHING, right?
Wrong. You mean the 720p recording the Evo 4G CAN do? Or the 720p output it CAN do straight to your HDTV/Computer via either the separate dock or HDMI cable?

All of those people who have been posting on Macrumors about how they ditched their iphone and got an Android; we should gather up all of their names, and force them to post in a thread about how they feel ditching their iphone for a now inferior product. And if they don't post then they get banned.

I am just laughing at all of those android converts who now because they couldn't just wait, can't upgrade to the 4g iphone. Mostly i'm laughing at the people who felt the need to brag non-stop on this forum, like any of us care.

Those people, myself included, had their decisions justified today by Steve's lousy phone upgrade.

Ugh, it's not on Verizon :(

I really want one, though! I will need to find a way to make one work in my neck of the woods.

I guess i will get an iPad instead

I CANT WAIT, I think for me an iPhone has been the best the droids are all nice but they only have one thing the iPhone doesn't flash and it's nice but I'm fine without it. Sure they also eve themes but that's no concern of mine. Like I said I can't wait for the 24th but one thing stopping me Is the decision on what collor ahhhh:eek:

Anyone else notice that when Jobs was asked about facetime and wifi.. hsi reply was he has to work with the cellphone providerS as in plural as in more than just ATT? coincidence?[/QUOTE

There are multiple carriers when you consider international - maybe he will use their plans to influence AT&T.

At a developers conference for Chirst's sake. What a joke. I understand letting activision or EA in, but Farmville? What a waste of time.

So here's a developer who's application is making more money than everyone else in the room combined (excluding Steve). I'm guessing most (or all) of the developers in the audience would like to know how he did it, even if it means you'll get kicked out of the cool kids club.

As an aside, I don't really know what Farmville is, apparently it's some kind of casual/social game originally on Facebook.

Sorry but we knew EVERYTHING already!

NO big surprise! What a letdown!

agreed, i wasn't blown away or whatever stevie said in that random email...
Wish there was news about verizon (am i the first :p) maybe its BB bold time...

I'm wondering whether or not those of us outside the u.s.a, in countries with multiple carriers supporting the Iphone, will be able to use 3g video conferencing?

I very much doubt it.

Last year Jobs announced picture messaging was coming on a host of worldwide networks even though it wasn't going to be available on AT&T at the launch of OS3. If it was just limited to Wi-fi only in the US I think it would have been a similar type of announcement.

lol @ ignorance. Musta been one of those unhappy Sprint customers from 5+ years ago, huh? Network AND customer service (that idiots still point to as being a negative) are outstanding! Not to mention saving a butt load of cash on top of that.

LOL @ horrible assumptions. I've only been off of Sprint's network for 1 year. Besides the recent data plan changes, i've been pretty happy with AT&T. Less signal issues (though i do have more dropped calls, but not so much that it drives me nuts YET). Customer services is far better (though still pretty bad, IMO). And until the evo came out, Sprint was, hands down, the WORST carrier when it came to good smartphones.

Sprint customer service was absolutely horrible. I was literally on the phone for an hour or so for about 4 consecutive months getting my bill correct. They were absolute morons. I would sometimes need to call and re-call just to get another person--because each worker would give me a different line of BS. 100% pure frustration.

Sprint service in Cleveland was a joke. I could sit down on my couch and watch the signal bounce from zero bars to full bars and everywhere in between. I couldn't get a signal in my office. Now i have service everywhere.

Quite frankly, i don't know many people who actually like sprint's service. Sure, they like the price---but they usually complain about service about as much as iPhone users do of AT&T. I can't wait until verizon get the iPhone. It'll lighten up the load on AT&T big time.
