Can anyone help/suggest? Ive looked at the Keynote .. but he said 88 countries will be iPhone4 'quipped... yeah. Nice.. then it showed a few countries that are getting it ..July 2010 ... but .. no United Kingdom!!

I know we're not the most enterprising of countries and miss out on what the public wants ... but in this case I cant believe Apple wont sell us some when the others get theirs too ... so .. my question to the assembled panel here is ...

WHEN WILL BRITAIN GET THE iPHONE 4 PLEASE?

I currently have a 3GS and its on eBay ending tomorrow ... if we are going to be lumped along with Kuala Lumpur or Timbuctoo .. then I will end the auction and keep mine til the less civilised countries such as ours is dated for despatch ... BUT if we are getting it along with all the OTHER Europeans ... then ... I'll sell it and wait in frustration without me 'phone til it does ...

Help!!!!!

From the feeds it looks like it will be the same date as US, 24th June -preorder from 15th June.

But guys.... FARMVILLE

Know what...this sold my wife on it so I'm going to reserve my disgust with FarmVille implementation. I'm going to upgrade but will wait a few months as usual. FaceTime should get some cellular support, sounded like Apple is really pushing for it.

While the new phone's design is striking, I feel I've seen it somewhere before......

If you can afford a new iphone you can bloody well afford to upgrade your ancient OS.

You should calm down. Someone asked a technical question. If you can't answer it, that's not a problem. If you can't accept that, then you are clearly not a person that belongs to a technical forum (or any forum...)

Ok so im a noob... will someone help me?

1. Im using the old iPhone 3G 8GB. If i want to upgrade to the new one, 16GB, how much will it cost and when can I do it? My contract expries this coming Sept.

2. What will the no-contract price be for the new 16GB? Can I do it the day it comes out? Can I buy/do that online?

thanksss

Is anyone going Android after this?

I'm surprised you guys don't care about if it's 4G capable and putting that into the equation of getting it or not. Also no word on memory yet. I'm crazy to think it will have 512mb.

"apple will never release a product with those seams.. " blah blah blah

"no way that's the final design." "i'll never buy a phone that ugly"

"that looks nothing like an apple product. i say fake."

what do you say now? thx, steve.

Agreed. People seem to only htink of themselves. Newsflash. The iPhone is for everybody

No Steve is the d**k for not tweaking his keynote and giving us some info on the Mac Pro, Apple TV, and Mac OS. Nice stuff, for sure, but....

boooo hooo hooo........ Do you even own any of those?

nothing news,
it stays a phone for losers who wanna show it to their 14-year old friends

+1. I can see it now. Evey kid who gets one will be doing those stupid mirror myspace pictures. Or they will just steal their parents.

Sounds like a comment from a 14 year old.

14 year olds dont need an iphone to be honest.

Agreed. I've bought and sold 3 iPhones from Kijiji because I didn't want to get locked in with Rogers. This time I was ready! Other countries in September? No way man!

Maybe Steve Jobs hates Rogers, Bell and Telus like most of us do.

Thinking about getting it....

I've been using a RIM phones for three-four years and have played with 3G's and 3GS's and was impressed, but wasn't impressed enough to buy. This may change my mind.

I like that it's thinner than the previous iterations, but didn't think those were particularly thin (especially compared to my RIM device). That glass looks bada$$ IMO. At least we know that the lines are about now. The capacities are more than enough for me, but people with a lot of video podcasts, shooting a lot of video, etc. might have some issues. Hence the constant call for a 64GB model. I like the form factor of the iPhone even though some really like the 4.3" screens on some of the Android handsets. 4.3" is too big for me.

The multi-tasking is huge if you need to wait on mail, etc. and still type a text or whatever.... but that's just the tip of the iceberg. I can't wait to play with this.

I really like the iBooks integration of PDFs as well since it would be nice to read papers, etc. on the go or pull them up in a meeting/conference on the fly. I'm still a big fan of BibDesk with Skim on OS X for keeping track of my PDFs and making notes, so I don't know if iBooks will satisfy my needs or not.

Cameras..... Well, some of us can't have cameras at work, but they are cool nevertheless. I think that the 5MP with the bigger sensor will be much better than the 8MPs on a few of the Android phones, but I'm waiting on a nice side by side comparison from somebody like dpreviews.com or similar. I'd like to know if the camera adapter for the iPad will work with the new iPhone as well.

I'm probably buying my first iPhone with this iteration, but I'll have to wait to see what data plan I need. I'm going to start with the 2GB/month, but may move down after I track my usage in detail for the first 6 mo. if that is possible. My wife will be getting a white one with the 250MB/month plan for sure.

Sorry but if you have a 3GS I really don't see the point in upgrading unless you were planning on buying a digital camera soon. If they had said iOS4 would only be on the new one then yeah of course it would be worth upgrading. I would have upgraded if there were a 64gb model.

The reason I got an iPhone was because I hated carrying around a phone and an iPod, well I have my iPhone but it's full. I need a 64gb or 80gb model!

Of course you can. Leave ATT. There are infinitely better phones than the garbage Steve just crapped out on stage for the world to see.

Indeed. :D I had an HTC Incredible on a new contract with VZW for about 28 days and returned it under the Worry Free Guarantee in order to give iPhone 4 a chance. I didn't want to pre-judge it before WWDC.

Silliest thing I've done in a while...
