They have abandoned so many of their great products. That would be great. Never understood why Apple abandoned this market since their WiFi systems were the best most reliable ones I have ever owned and with new mesh networks costing $300+ the money is there for Apple.
Apple Car?
Apple today announced its second fall event of 2023, with the online event set to be held on Monday, October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Apple's October event will be about the Mac, and the company is expected to refresh several Macs in the lineup. Apple's Events website features an Apple logo on a black background that morphs into the Mac Finder icon, confirming the event's Mac focus.

As with prior events, this October event will be prerecorded, and it will be held online only with no in-person component.
Mac rumors have been confusing in recent months, but there are several possibilities. We could see a refreshed version of the 24-inch iMac, as that machine is still using an M1 Apple silicon chip. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has said not to expect a MacBook Air refresh, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro could potentially get new chips.
It is not clear if the refresh will focus on new M3-series chips, but depending on what's being overhauled, we could see the iMac and the MacBook Pro models adopting the 3-nanometer M3 chip lineup.

Given the confusion surrounding the Mac lineup right now, this is one of the more mysterious events we've had, though we are likely to hear more as October 30 approaches.
Apple plans to stream the event live on its website, on YouTube, and through the Apple TV app. For those unable to watch, MacRumors will be providing full event coverage on MacRumors.com and the MacRumorsLive Twitter account.

Thanks for the screenshot, it refused to morph for me, or it took several minutes and my ADHD makes staring at a logo for that long impossible idk.
Also, the monochrome negative space Finder face gives off serial killer vibes, I’m excited.
Maybe it’s your ad block? Or something that stops videos from autoplaying?how does it morph into the finder logo ? on my screen it just statically shows the apple logo
The latest Apple Pencil?what company releases a new, inferior version of the product?
Nighttime event… iMac Pro in black returns!
Or a reversal of the colours on the last iMac - dark colours on the front, pastels on the back.
Scary…you need to fast to buy these!
The confusion is about the rumors of updated Macs. Every "source" seems to contradict the others. What's so confusing about the Mac Lineup right now?
MacBook Air
MacBook Pro
iMac
Mac Mini
Mac Studio
Mac Pro
All of which can be used in a pro setting, depending on your specific needs.
It will be the 31st on over half the planet. This event is on the 30th.
It is not remotely inferior because it is designed to address an unmet need and price point. The latest Apple Pencil?
Unless Apple announces M3s in all the Macs it would be weird for the iPads to get it first.Soooooo, if this is an event is there a chance for iPad refreshes as well ??? I know that Gurman is usually spot on, but I hope that this time it will be an exception !
It seems they’ve deliberately timed it to happen on the 31st of October for most of the world (it’s starts at midnight for us in Ireland, the Uk, Portugal, etc., for example). Everyone outside of the Americas will be watching it on Halloween. I love it. Scary clever!I think that's pretty certain, with this event being the day before October 31...
What if…it’s M3 Macs AND iPads..and the iPad Pro models will be getting the Finder that so many have begged for!!!It HAS to be the basic M3 chip in all these products. The MacBooks already have M2, so if they get updated it will be M3, and the iMac if just updated to M2 over a year late… it wouldn’t warrant an event. They want an event because they plan on explaining the M3 etc. and then launching the products with it.
Nope. It’s midnight!1am Tuesday morning! 😮
how is apple going to off set all that carbon needed to keep the lights on at that late hour?
It’s seems to be timed to be watched by most of us on the 31st of October.Weird...usually Apple Events are at 10am PST...I don't remember them ever having one at 5pm PST....
Why "virtualized"? Under the skin, iOS and MacOS have the same skeletons.macOS is now allowed to run virtualized
It‘ll be 1am in Central Europe as our clocks go back next weekend. If you go to the events page and tap to add to your calendar you’ll see that it’ll correct for the change of clocks next weekend. It added it to my calendar (Ireland) at midnight, not 1am.5 PM PT? That’s 2 am in Central Europe. Why?
So most of the world will watch the event on Halloween, it seems.5 pm pacific? What happened to the regular 10 am that just happens to be a great time for us over here in Europe?
