Hopefully we’ll see USB-C Mac accessories. I’m not expecting it, but would be nice if they took the opportunity to add backlighting to the keyboard and finally redesigned the Magic Mouse.
Imagine this is the whole event…spooky fast USB-C accessories

… unless it is the 27 inch iMac. That would be scary fast, going from Intel to M3 😊No way are we getting an event titled Scary Fast to update an iMac to an over a year old chip.
We are getting M3, or some crazy M2 Ultra Duo.
new Apple TV+ show plotMaybe Octavia Spencer returns as Mother Nature with a chainsaw to take out everyone at Apple Park in under 2 minutes
Yes! Apple's knowledge-based-height-adjustment works by the placement of books under the stand!Height-adjustable iMacs confirmed? 😳
Nahh I’m using Safari on my iPhone XR and it’s fully up to date AND i disabled Reader mode and content blockers; Lockdown mode isn’t on either.Maybe it’s your ad block? Or something that stops videos from autoplaying?
That is consistent with what happened when both M1 and M2 were first announced—it was the basic M1 and basic M2 chips, not the Pro/Max versions. Why would Apple do it differently this year by releasing the Pro/Max variants of the M3 chip first, and then months later release the basic M3 chip?It HAS to be the basic M3 chip in all these products. The MacBooks already have M2, so if they get updated it will be M3, and the iMac if just updated to M2 over a year late… it wouldn’t warrant an event. They want an event because they plan on explaining the M3 etc. and then launching the products with it.
Both Gurman and Kuo have been pretty wrong on stuff this last year, I don’t trust either anymore to have a perfectly accurate idea of what’s coming. This makes me think that these are all spec updates - as I'd think Ming Chi Kuo would have better knowledge if the supply chain went through major disruption...
Ya, so am I. I actually think there’s very good chance that Gurman’s wrong, since, after all, only a couple weeks ago he was swearing up and down there wouldn’t be an Apple October event, and he was saying we wouldn’t see any Macs until early next year at the earliest. This year, he’s just been really wrong on pretty much everything he’s said. So I think it’s very possible we’ll get some iPads, at least a standard iPad 11th Gen would make sense, they already have the chips for those, so I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t release one. I’m hoping for new M3 iPad Pros! I’m really excited about the prospect of a new Magic Keyboard Case. Though I very likely won’t update right away.Soooooo, if this is an event is there a chance for iPad refreshes as well ??? I know that Gurman is usually spot on, but I hope that this time it will be an exception !
Apple introduces the all new AirPort lineup with Wi-Fi 7 mesh networking. "Scary Fast" Wi-Fi.

Lol, dude if subpoena’d companies like Apple and Microsoft are legally compelled to give them encryption backdoors. That would be awesome.
I think Apple just didn't want the responsibility of allowing all the spy agencies to have a backdoor on every wifi router maybe? Is this why they killed the Airport base stations? I was amazed that they did that - surely they must have made money selling Aiport Extrem basestations no?
Is Apple out of touch and too far gone? I mean - they DO have the money making part working amazingly well, but with such a big office building and all the profits, they could not manage to keep making Airport Wifi ? How could that be I wonder?
I went and check, cuz that sounded really weird. Both can be used. It depends on the intended meaning.
A: ‘one of the more mysterious’ means that it’s more mysterious than some of the other mysterious events.
B: ‘one of the most mysterious’ would mean that it’s up there with all of the other most mysterious events.

I’m not a Mark “hater” just pointing out that this last year he’s pretty much just been wrong on everything, and he’s had to flip-flop overtime.mark haters need to read this:
Another day, another toxic comment when someone has a different perspective. I for one like when Apple talks about the actual functions, features, etc. of their great products without the same trite phrases. And here we go with the toxic comments complaining about Apple events. I for one like Apple events, I think you will love it.
Different features for different uses is not “inferior.” By your logic, the 13-in MacBook Pro is inferior to the 15-in MacBook Pro because the 13-in screen is smaller. It is quite directly inferior. Apple even has a nice chart to show how it’s inferior.

How is me having a different perspective toxic? Not saying people have to like the events, but some people seem to go out of their way to complain about them in these forums.Another day, another toxic comment when someone has a different perspective. ChatGPT really isn’t reliable, “the more mysterious” sounds like it’s implying a question, “the most mysterious” sounds like a statement.I went and check, cuz that sounded really weird.
Turns out you cannot say "the more mysterious"
