A nation has the right to enforce its borders... unless you don't believe in borders.

Please cite me the codified human right... in law... to come into the USA.

This isn't an emotional argument.

All Israeli passport holders are banned from 16 countries.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_Israeli_citizens

How do you feel about that?

I feel that the US might consider itself a little more progressive than those 16 countries.

Talking about Israel, how do you feel about Israel'c continued policy of settlement building beyond its recognised border?
[doublepost=1485694871][/doublepost]
Probably less than you with all the tax loops they employ.

I very much doubt it.

Any actual figures, or are we OK to go with vague anecdotal stuff and maybe just throw in a mention of Ireland and Luxembourg, and hope that's enough?

Oh, and what would Hillary be going to prison for exactly?

We aren't discussing progressivism.

Are those Israeli's banned from those countries because of a terrorism risk or because of anti-semitism?

As for settlements... I'm fine with them until there's a cessation of hostilities and total surrender by Hamas and Hezbollah.

Yet, President Obama also signed EO for Iranians and limiting immigration has been American policy for over 200 years or do you suggest we allow unrestricted entry into our country, i.e., hundreds of millions of people to come here?

Where exactly has anyone suggested that?

In fact, it kind of begs the question - if people can freely just come into the US (as has been suggested repeatedly in this thread), then how come there are illegal immigrants?

Are the illegal immigrants not aware of the legal, open door policy?

If someone could clear this up, that would be helpful I think.

First they came for the National Park Service - and the National Park Service said "**** Trump" :)

It seems that Trump is working hard to introduce a regime of censorship were nothing can be said that disagrees with his opinions, even when he is obviously wrong. I have full confidence in Trump to self destruct before he causes too much damage.

Tim needs to learn the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL.

This. 1,000,000 times.

Then we'll agree to disagree - I would like to think the US, and other western democracies would be more progressive.

I would defend Israel's right to self defence of its borders to the death, but I'm sorry - bulldozing Palestinian settlements beyond the recognised border of Israel, displacing tens of thousands of people to build new settlements cannot ever be described as self defence.

Employees don't get to decide what to say for their employer.

Tim needs to learn the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL.

People can identify more than 2 genders but can't identify between legal and illegal immigrants.

Don't ask them to explain why that is the case for them. They can't.

You didn't answer my question.

Why are those israeli passport holders banned?

Terrorism or anti-semitism? Pick one.

So true

I feel sorry for every American and everyone living in the US for having to endure what is coming your way the next four years - though it's your own majority choice. I just hope the rest of the world won't be too affected by it, especially our environment and the worlds polution since the Trump administration doesnt seem to give a flying f about anything except their selfish interests.

He was Syrian
To be a bit more precise, Steve Job's biological parents were an American woman and a Syrian man living in the USA, he was born in the USA and therefore was legally a US citizen. He was also adopted and raised by American citizens. But the fact is of course that if Syrians hadn't been allowed to be in the USA at that time, he would have never been born.

And the other fact is that if Syrian laws had said that in this situation the child would also be a Syrian citizen (which would have been a possibility), then if Steve Jobs were alive today he couldn't risk leaving the USA.

Tim Cook can choose to use people all over the world to make him money.
The conditions those people work under are dictated by local politics and competition.
In my opinion he should not comment on US Immigration policy, as he is benefiting greatly from his position.
If he chooses to legally migrate all of the workers to the US and pay them appropriately, then he can talk.

(I know this is in no way practical, but in short: He should simply stop talking and exploit people as he does anyway)

If Hillary won, you wouldn't be asking to change it.

The problem isn't that Hillary didn't win.

The problem is that someone woefully unqualified and wholly unsuitable to be the President did win.

Someone like GWB was very unpopular with many, but at least he was qualified, through years of political experience, for the job.

Trump is just a loose cannon, with no real relevant experience for the job, who so far seems great at saying what he doesn't like, but offering very little other than, often contradictory, hot air about anything.

I don't see how that can be in anyone's best interests.

We're fine. He's only enforcing existing laws and regulations. Or didn't you know this?

He'd rather dump American workers with overhead and bring in disposable people on Visas, like all the other major businesses do.

All hamas and hezbollah have to do is surrender and recognize the state of Israel and it stops... but they won't do that.

So, on it goes, which I'm completely fine with.

Why is defending the recognised state of Israel not enough?

Hypothetically, if there was disputed territory between the US and Mexico, would you consider it acceptable for Mexico to bulldoze US towns to build new settlements?

you know man, experience is highly overrated, ability and accomplishment leads the day ... Red Tillerson has more hands-on, real world experience, than that whole damned State department and the last dozen individuals who masqueraded their way through their Secretary of State appointments, combined.

We both know that this is not true. Israel is constantly violating rules opposed by the United Nations and therefor to the world. As long Israel treat Palestinians as second hand civilians and doesn't recognise that with disproportional oppression
comes resistance they will never ever solve this violence. Simple as that.

So, did he support the summary execution of foreign nationals via drone? How about US citizens?

Why does Cook have to say anything at all? Is he going to make a statement about every Executive Order now?

The affects members of his staff directly. There are people who work at Apple and live in the US who will be unable to return if they leave.

You forget that Trump is mentally ill as well.
