And there are zero Iranian terrorists in the world. Not one terror attack has been committed by Iranian nationals, go back as far as you want. So who/what is protected by this order?

This is about saber rattling and getting revenge on Iranian Americans, who mostly live in California and did not vote for Trump.

You mean "statistics." The reality of a widening wealth gap is not even denied by the Republicans, jeepers.
The hatred of unions is so 1980s. At this point, it's like hating dinosaurs.
Here is what is frightening about the separation of wealth. I go to the outlet mall. I see a lot of lower income families strolling around. The baby mommas and baby daddies are decked out to the nines. Their 4 kids have on all under armour and Nike Jordan's and stuff like that. This stuff isn't cheap. I buy my kids shoes at Target or Payless and get clothes at reasonable prices that aren't pricey brands. And I am fairly sure my wife and I make more money than they do. I think so much of what you see in wealth disparity is the choices of lower income to not live as frugal and within their means. It's not the only reason but it certainly contributes.

Really? I think Argentina might have something to say about that.
Iran also pays others to do their dirty work. Iran has long supported terrorism

It was an email sent to employees who look to him for guidance and leadership. This action directly affects the company. Get it now?

Explain exactly how this "directly affects" the corporation we know as Apple? Be very specific.

I get that it "affects employees at Apple", but I view this as a cop out. The same can be said in regards to every Trump executive order, but with little to no consequences. Nevertheless, even if 10 employees has relatives in Syria, I still don't see how this affects Apple.

We take in over 1 million legal immigrants a year. No country on earth has a right to complain about how many people the USA takes in. We also accept plenty of refugees as well. We have a right to know who we are letting in and if they mean us harm. Unlike Obama, Trump takes the title of Commander In Chief seriously. He is taking responsibility for our safety, unlike the previous idiot.

Somali refugees were arrested plotting attacks. Minnesota has a little problem of gangs of 'refugees' roaming through middle class neighborhoods threatening to rape women and bomb homes. It's happened twice already.
We don't need refugees or immigrants who don't like the West, Jews or Christians. They can go somewhere else.
Interesting that I don't see any Muslim countries trying very hard to accept their brothers and sisters. Where is Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc? Not a peep

Dont be so hysterical. Nobody is stating you can't take measurements to stop terrorist from going towards your country. The only two details in all of this is that closing borders for some Muslim countries (exept those who are economical important for Trump his business) doesn't stop terrorist from traveling around. Second, even if you close your borders for all countries then this still doesn't stop terrorist if they want to do harm. Or did you really thought that all the illegal heavy firearms and harddrugs that people take along are being reported at the official authorities? You are being fooled by a president who is very good at fooling people. How good? Well, you don't even realized it; that good.

So, did he support the summary execution of foreign nationals via drone? How about US citizens?

Why does Cook have to say anything at all? Is he going to make a statement about every Executive Order now?
This policy effect people that may work for Apple and other firms that are abroad.
This policy restricts entry of people that already hold Green Cards. They are permanent residents and on a required path to citizenship.

The policy is overly broad and hurts people that are already LEGAL immigrants.

How about because he's the CEO of a company that the ban directly effects, and he's letting his employees know about his and the company's views via company email.

Why does that bother you so much?

It appears you are not aware of the many roles the CEO of one of the largest and most successful companies entails, and that communication is essential.

I agree and in the end it just makes Apple look hypocritical because they have no problem doing business in countries like Saudi Arabia where gays and women have few rights. He likes to talk the talk but not walk the walk if it affects Apple's bottom line.

Uh.....
The U.S. has no problems with horrendous dictators and we only care about human rights when it suits are agenda.
We support The House of Saud and provide them with arms.
The U.S. is a hypocritical government and has been since the CIA overthrew the Iranian government in the 1950's, supported the overthrow of Central American Governments for the Dole company, etc.

Why does Cook have to be publicly concerned about politics? It's not like it'll change Trump's ideas.

You'd be able to answer your own question if you had read the entire article instead of just skimmed the title.

list of employees affected please.

Oh please!!! Do you think there are no apple employees from any of the countries named in this unconstitutional dictate??
I believe Steve Jobs heritage was Syrian.

Also, this includes people who live here legally and for what ever reason may have returned to their home country and now are denied re-entry. Even as a LEGAL permanent green card holder!! This whole thing is appalling. Shame on you!

The sooner Cook leaves Apple, the less harm he'll cause. Today it's two in a row: two Cook news, both go to the political/troll section. Don't they have mods at Apple for banning their own trolls?

Tim Cook has blood on his hands. He supported this by hosting fundraisers for the Republicans in Congress. I realized he also held them for Hillary Clinton too. He's just corrupt. His being wealthy is not going to protect him when they send him, me, and all other LGBTs to camps.

it's a political issue that negatively hurts his employees which is probably why he's coming out against it.

he isn't doing it for his employees, he is doing it for his own moral code. He is using Apple as his own political tool.

I'm ok with him being vocal, but I think he should step down as Apple and lead the charge. If he wants to be political, he should not do it at the shareholder's expense.

To come here there is a 2-year background check and investigation process.

This is exactly why we have a racist, thin-skinned idiot running our country. Ignorance. "Blindly letting immigrants in?" It's a 12-24 month process with vetting from multiple government agencies and they do everything they can to prevent people with "other" motives from entering our country. Good grief:(

Well dang! They can cancel the 90/120 day temporary bill to investigate the US immigration policy and just ask you for the details. How about writing President Trump and offer your expertise. Maybe between you and Timmy this can get resolved really quick.

Tim, what kind of drug are you on? You must been smoking something. You don't speak for anyone including your employees. You need to focus on your job...build high quality desktop computers.

Edit: the only illegal immigration that I'm noticing is your poor quality and outdated desktops invading consumers' homes.
