Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

Worldwide Express = 10:30 to 12:00

According to UPS' website, Worldwide Express guarantees delivery between 10:30 and 12:00. That will be awesome if they adhere to it.

I just got off the phone with my local Apple Store. They said they have a "fair amount" of lightning to 30-pin adapters in stock. I'm glad I canceled my order for one!

If you look at your tracking, you can roughly match up departure times with UPS flights on a flight tracker site which is listed on a post somewhere several pages back.

If FlightAware is correct and shipment stays on the same plane, the iPhone's are heading to Ontario, CA.

You're correct. Go to flightaware.com, mouse over Live Flight Tracking>Flight Finder and search for flights that left HKG and roughly match up the departure time to your tracking number.

Also of interest I used flightaware to list the scheduled ups flights from panc to ksdf (Louisville UPS World Hub) and there are several flights scheduled for later tonight.

Basically we look at our UPS tracking and look at what time it leaves Hong Kong (or Korea). Mine for example says:
Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 09/17/2012 9:34 P.M. Departure Scan

Then someone found the UPS flights on http://www.hongkongairport.com/flightinfo/eng/cargo_dep.html and FlightAware shows us the flight info. For example, mine is on UPS59, which matches up with my UPS site stating the departure time of: 09:34PM HKT
 
ahhh finally, i just did the reference trick with my phone number and it worked, Addison, IL, 9/21 delivery. If you couldn't do it before, check again.
 
My phone is currently on UPS59. It will be interesting to see if it makes it to Anchorage in time for UPS81 which is the last flight today from PANC to KSDF.

Worldwide express gets changed to standard 3 day when in the states, I would expect the same when Apple starts issuing shipping notifications.

UPS does this to comply with Apple's contract without screwing with their entire system. On reason you don't have official shipping notifications from Apple yet..

i seriously hope that's case cause i have to leave the house at 2pm for a bridal shower...but i just went to look at my tracking & it says "by end of the day" so i'm assuming that 1030-12 doesn't apply :( even though it should..sigh

edit: doh, just saw ColdCase's comment above..makes sense. darn.

Mine is now in Anchorage Alaska as of 12:44 pm!

I hope you do. I've been on 3GS for 3 years, so upgrades at every level + LTE has me pumped up for this iPhone.

All this flightaware tracking reminds me of when Payton Manning was going to sign with the Broncos and reporters were tracking his flights. Hella creepy tho.
 
Im sure this has been asked before but, where does it usually go after Addison? or strait from addison does it go to the closest UPS depo/warehouse from my home?
