orders two at 3:08 am and 3:22 am EST.. Still processing with delivery date of sept 21.
Does anyone in USA apple ATT order changed from "Processing item" to "Preparing for Shipment" .
As i can see some UK user's iphones are already in Preparing for Shipment status now.

How do you propose that Apple gets around this problem? Makes the US have one time zone? Apple stated that they would allow preordering on the 14th at midnight. They are in California, so it seems like it makes a lot of sense to do it at midnight EST. Yeah, a lot of sense

I ordered thru att and still says status processing. Where can I find the estimated ship date. I have called att 3 times and I got 3 different answers. 1 was they won't start shipping phones till 9/21 other one said I should receive it by 9/21 and another one said 3-5 days after the 21st???

I placed my order online at the Apple Store at 07:30 Central Time for a Sprint version 32GB iphone 5. I am a bit concerned regarding all this talk of Apple's Preorders selling out in 1 hour. I have not received an Apple confirmation email.
However I went to my order at the Apple Store. I have an order number and it says that the "order is processing". It also indicates that the next status on the order is "Preparing to ship".
When I made the order it was indicating two weeks to ship. I realize this estimate could be totally off mark. I called Apple today and asked if my order really took. They said if I have an order number, it took. They could tell me no more. I assume that my order registered and I am in a que, however if I missed the initial batch of phones that should be available, the end result is that I could end up waiting longer than the 2 weeks for when production catches up to my order. My main concern is that I have not received a confirmation email, but figure that today Apple could be swamped. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I have to change the billing address on a friends account because im using his upgrade and the address needs to be the same as the shipping address. When I change the billing address on verizon.com, it keeps forgetting the apartment 10 min after I enter and save it! ughhh
I just tried to cancel the lightning adapter (same order with the iPhone 5) because I thought that maybe since it ships in October, it's delaying the preparation of the iPhone shipment. It told me that I can't cancel it, so it must mean something is happening with my order. It's still processing.

If the east coast goes at 12:00 then west coast is at 09:00' it is what it is no matter what the start time. Everyone starts at the same time, thats a class action in its self.
You have your 24h time mixed up. If east cost goes live at 00:01, then west coast is at 21:01 on the previous day.
What's up with the ad-hominem attacks here. Ther's no cause for that.

The ordering could have started at an hour that would have been convenient for the entire continental US. Starting, say, at 12pm Pacific time would mean that on the east coast it would have been 3pm..a perfectly reasonable hour.
Sure it's reasonable, if you want it badly enough. Stop playing victim and realize that Apple can do whatever they want. 12 isnt even a reasonable hour, unless you're doing something of importance like this.
I'm sitting on here refreshing and refreshing waiting to read as much good news about people who had an oct 5th date moved to the 21st or that are just in the same boat as me, all just to make myself feel a little better ..lol..Im just even more bummed because the gentleman i am i let my girlfriend go on first and order hers and then i jumped on right when she was done maybe 4-5 min after and hers says the 21st and mine is oct 5th..i mean isnt it supposed to be that good things are supposed to happen for good deeds? Karma?

I am going to check out iphone 5 on AT&T to see if there is any Speed improvement in my home...if not...going to return and go to VZW as VZW have full LTE coverage in my area...

Thats why I'm holding out a little hope because mine is still processing too so im hoping they change the date or something just messed up by the time it goes to shipment being prepared
So then I can put a class action lawsuit against apple because I was in middle of a 2 hour meeting during that time and they should do it when people are working. Wait, what about people working differential shifts, wait... UGH! Let it go
I noticed mine and my girlfriend's new upgrade dates changed as well. Both are still "processing". Ordered both between 3:20am est. and 3:30am est.
Also, a little off topic, but has anyone else noticed in the Tech Specs section of the iPhone under In the Box how sexy the new box design looks? Just something about it that looks great to me.
