Apple Delays iPhone 3G S Pre-Orders to Prevent Early Delivery?

lol. Love that entitlement. Try it then, i surely doubt anyone will be able to do that. It's not yours until June 19. Apple can hold what they want.

Not until it's been delivered. Try reading through the shipping agreement. Calling UPS isn't going to change anything.

dont ppl in kentucky have better stuff to spend their money on rather than an iphone.....like chewing tobacco, shotgun shells, or sleeveless lynyrd skynyrd shirts?

I got the same technical error email from apple, and mine still hasn't shipped either! It better get here on time.

That's what mine sayins in the email.. But if you check the tracking information, it says June 19th. The 22nd refers to the ship date + 5 days (standard shipping).
Why wouldn't it? It's not supposed to be there until Friday, it's only Wednesday.

Neither the SIM or the iPhone itself have apparently shipped, according to Apple's site. I have no tracking numbers. They're supposed to get to the East coast from Asia in 2 days, and they still haven't shipped apparently.

Call Apple and get a refund. They will credit you w/o question. I don't know why Apple doesn't make it crystal clear in instances like this that there is only one level of delivery service... the free one. This happens everytime they launch a product with a specific delivery date guaranteed. It's also true when an item ships from China since, obviously, there is no ground service across the Pacific.
Just call up UPS and tell them that you didn't request the package to be held. It's happened to me before, and UPS blamed it on the fact that they thought it was a holiday. I mean Apple could be holding it, but if you get a good rep, they'll mark it to be delivered the next day.

Sure. If the item is yours upon shipment then you are responcible for replacement costs in the case of loss in transit. What? Your story changes the doesn't it? Reshaping reality does not work irl.

first off. on the delay. so what. at least you have the likelihood of getting it on the 19th, 20th at the latest, instead of them shipping from China on the 19th and you get it almost a week later.
second, to answer the pre-order question. I would hazard that the stock is about to ship and it will most certainly be based a great deal on the pre-orders. so pre-order it like now if you want to get one on Friday. that way even if it doesn't go into the shipping amount, you'll get one of the 'bump' rather than just risking it and ending up with nada

two days before release and i still have not received any kind of shipping notice. Mine still says "prepared to ship" i haven't even got anything from ATT with my new account info on it. People who ordered days after me have got their notices and i am still out in the wind holding my #$%^...

Hey look, you have plenty of people in Jersey are buying iPhones instead of medical waste resistant bathing suits and asthma inhalers so maybe you should go back to trimming your pits rather than diss other states. (BTW I'm not from KY, just find it bizarro that someone from Joisy would be going after any other state).
