Apple Delays Shipments of New Orders for Existing MacBook Pros Until Week's End

If there is a black macbook pro, the pricing will probably end up similar to the black and white macbooks of a few years ago.

The black will probably be $100 extra just for the color.

Since there is no event, I'm guessing macbook/macbook pro will remain two distinct products. They should merge these into one line.

Ditto except for the battery life. I get 2, maybe 2 hours and 15 minutes even with a new battery on my 2008 15". I'll be thrilled to get a new one just to get 5 or 6 hours. I'll be beyond thrilled to get 7 or 8 hours.

graphic designer...:eek:o i am going to be a freshman in college next year and i am majoring in graphic design! What kinds of things do you design??
 
does anyone think there will be a upgrade in the graphics card, i dont think the GT 330m is graphics card is good enough for the pro line up

They have not changed the design since then, just tweaked it.

Unless there is an presentation conference thingy then it will just once again be a design tweak and will look pretty much the same imo.

I obviously have no idea whether we'll see a redesign or not... and really don't care either way, but...

they called the macbook air the future... if the pro is redesigned along the lines of the air in looks because of using ssd... a presentation would be redundant. *cue macbook air presentation but replace all "air" with "pro" and insert respective spec differences. what's the point?

Why? It's a rather obvious joke and there weren't any pictures alongside with the post. And there probably are enough laptops to go around if you go buy one at release, so no need for anxiety.
 
Yes, please give us a Matt screen option. If they are rumored to be doing this with the iPad, it would certainly make sense as an option for the whole product line.

I do plenty, but lately, all I've been doing is billboard and website designs for local businesses. I HAVE to do this for the company I work for.

It's funny you say that. Because here we are at Macrumors, because we simply can't wait for the information to get to us. But yeah, it was a joke. :p
