If they only made one in that color without the number pad on the right.

I bet we see them release the Mac Pro peripherals, which are DOPE

The Logitech may be better to you but it's still not uniformly designed to blend in with a Mac. It's just a standard keyboard and mouse for any brand of computer. For many they want Apple accessories since they designed to match perfectly with Apple's computers.

Yep. We'd prefer to have the Apple made peripherals to match everything else.

This is an Apple Enthusiast site and I am surprised the comment you responded to was uttered in the first place.

How about discontinuing the Magic Mouse completely considering it has, quite possibly, the most idiotic design choice in the history of Apple, the effing charge port on the bottom.

HUGE mistake to discontinue the space gray trackpad. I just skinned my silver trackpad recently to match my black keyboard and iMac. Silver (which is actually white) clashes with darker setups.

It's fine for me. Zero issues. It needs to be charged once a month. I leave it overnight when it is getting low on battery.

I just don't get the hostility to this. How many of you have a dead mouse that you absolutely have to use while plugged in because you couldn't be an adult and charge your ****?

WOW! The Best color and it's gone.
Now we got the girly rainbow colors.
OH BOY!
super oh boy! if you're a guy.
The blue, green and silver are certainly not “girly” colors, give me a break. The purple and pink are certainly not to my taste (I don’t care for either color), but the orange and yellow colors are more on the fence colors and truly are up to personal taste. I would purchase the yellow, but probably not the orange, if those were my only two choices. To each his or her own. As much as I like space Grey, it’s getting really boring. Much better would be separate black and white colors. Or black and silver.

With this crowd, more than they like to admit, I’m sure. Too many should remain at the kids table.

Still available in the Canada store. ;)

I’m in the UK, pretty sure they are still available here too but £250 for a mouse and keyboard not including the black Magic Trackpad - like I said - I can’t justify it while my original AA battery mouse/keyboard setup still works, plus I prefer the smaller directional arrows on the older keyboards

Apple is updating their “space grey” color so these would not match
I’ve had numerous space gray items from numerous manufacturers.

none of them are the same shade. The third party ones are more different but even apples own products vary slightly.

Why are so many of you guys upset over this? You realize that there are other options out there that are better than the Apple accessories, right? Like the Logitech MX Mouse/Keyboard are just superior over the Magic Mouse/Keyboard by most people's opinions.
Magic Trackpad is awesome.

I was referring to price via currency differences. Free

Maybe they’re planning an NFC charged mouse. Then we’ll have to buy the $59 mouse charging storage tray or the $79 charging mouse pad that isn’t included with the mouse.

A telling signal.

Discontinuing the SG keyboard isn’t a note of finality IF they introduce a redesigned keyboard in SG.
Discontinuing the SG Magic Mouse and TrackPad smells more of finality UNLESS they introduce redesigned versions.

Or it really is a signal Apple is currently done with SG for iMacs and MacBooks.

I sense a lot of nails being bitten, hair being pulled out, loud lamenting and cries of despair coming.

If I were in the market, I would go (1) Yellow (2) Orange (3) Purple.

Wow, that is a TERRIBLE decision that makes no sense. We waited so damn long for them to finally introduce them only to have them discontinue them a couple of years later? I even just got the 2018 Mac mini to match. I'm glad I already have the Magic Keyboard and Trackpad 2's in SG, but it will suck if anything happens to them. Hopefully this isn't a permanent stupid choice or they add a SG option to the new lineup...

I grabbed a complete set once they came out. Just decided to get another in case something happens to the ones I have. Kind of superficial I know but I love the look and the usability of all three.
I'm now thinking the same thing lol either that or I need to be EXTREMELY careful not spill anything or damage keyboard.

Shake then keyboard is not backlit

not sure why apple hasn’t implemented that in their wireless keyboards. I am not sure if the new ones are.
It’s the one thing that prevented me from investing in their current gen keyboard.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined….

I just can’t justify the price to grab them while my original mouse and keyboard still work after 9 years 😭
I use an older gen keyboard as well (the wireless one with the batteries)
on the plus side, these newer ones never received back light so hopefully the next iteration will and your justification will be renewed haha

Yeah, I still use that same keyboard. The Magic Mouse and Trackpad are the new ones, but this keyboard is just awesome and a pleasure to type on it.
