this isn't true. the logitech mx keys is specifically designed for mac users. it even has the same colors (space gray, black) as the magic keyboard that is the topic of this thread. The Logitech may be better to you but it's still not uniformly designed to blend in with a Mac. It's just a standard keyboard and mouse for any brand of computer. For many they want Apple accessories since they're designed to match perfectly with Apple's computers.
The comment wasn’t calling the company stupid. the comment was calling the move stupid.I just love posts like this calling a multi-trillion dollar corporation stupid. Apple knows how to run their business a whole lot better than people posting on forums.
Fingers crossed! No. The new space grey macs would get the new Touch ID keyboard in space grey. Just wait and clam down.
I have been using the MX master 3 keyboard and mouse for a year now and they are simply awesome to use. May not look as good as the Apple keyboard and mouse, but are certainly far nicer to use [especially the mouse].this isn't true. the logitech mx keys is specifically designed for mac users. it even has the same colors (space gray, black) as the magic keyboard that is the topic of this thread.
the same goes for the logitech mx master 3. it's black, space gray, and silver, the same colors you'd expect from a mac
if you do a quick google search and read threads of people comparing the logitech's mx set with the apple's magic set, it's pretty clear that the majority of people prefer the logitech mx set.
based on your comment, you only want the apple magic set because they're from apple and not because of any objective reasoning.
Agreed - I think it looks great with a silver iMac. I bought one a year ago. Just bought a SG mouse - my white mouse is rthe only thing looking out of place. Probably should have bought two. Hold one until I could sell it and end up paying for both. The 2nd market price for these pieces are going to go trough the roof. I jjust want a space gray wireless keyboard with illuminated keysRIP best colored Keyboard
Once I got used to having my mouse closer with a compact keyboard, it felt weird to use a full-sized one. If I had a ton of numbers to enter I suppose I’d haul out my full-sized board but it doesn’t make sense for daily use for me.Exactly my sentiment. I have no use for the numeric pad. The space gray keyboard/mouse would have gone great with my space-gray, (normally closed, under my external monitors) MBP.
Glad I have these and decided to just use a beautiful monitor with the M1 Mac Mini... I worry too that we're moving to more colors with white bezels... I think those will be great for kids and education settings but not so much for pros. Hoping I'm wrong and the M2 iMacs are back in a variety of styles / ranges.
when its charged yes When its flat on its back and useless while getting charged not so much..Meh. I love the Magic Mouse.
This has nothing to do with what I was saying. Not a single word.this isn't true. the logitech mx keys is specifically designed for mac users. it even has the same colors (space gray, black) as the magic keyboard that is the topic of this thread.

Don't throw words in my mouth. I didn' say I only want Apple products because of the name. Don't make up stuff like that. Also I did post objective reasoning. This is a Mac forum discussing Apple products. Oh how dare I or anyone prefer Apple's accessories to some 3rd party "clones". 🙄based on your comment, you only want the apple magic set because they're from apple and not because of any objective reasoning.
It's fine for me. Zero issues. It needs to be charged once a month. I leave it overnight when it is getting low on battery.
I just don't get the hostility to this. How many of you have a dead mouse that you absolutely have to use while plugged in because you couldn't be an adult and charge your ****?
Maybe they’re planning an NFC charged mouse. Then we’ll have to buy the $59 mouse charging storage tray or the $79 charging mouse pad that isn’t included with the mouse.
Satechi makes excellent keyboards and mice in space gray styled to match Macs & iPads...RIP best colored Keyboard
It takes two minutes of charging to get enough for a full days use.I keep a spare old mouse for this situation. If the charge port was on the end, I could just keep using the original one (as with the keyboard).
You’re missing my point. The ones now don’t always “match” - it’s not an exact science apparently - so the idea they’re replacing them with some slightly different shade is unlikely to be the case.Right. They make the accessories match the products they accompany. So the space grey keyboard matched the iMac Pro. If the new high-end iMac comes in space grey they will want it to match. Just how all the nee color keyboards match the M1 iMac.
