Oh men, I'm still waiting for a space gray or black color...
but with the demand right now, it looks like it will not happen soon.. :(

I'm hoping this means that the new ones will come with the case that supports wireless charging.

I have owned them before, but returned them. Although they never fell out, they always felt like they were going to fall out.

Pretty sure i saw some football player being interviewed in the locker room after a game that had them on...
I see them ALL the time in football now. Usually on planes going to games or during warm ups. I see the appeal when you want to run sprints and big bulky over the ear headphones aren't too great for that.

I'm hoping AirPods get some hardware updates on at least a 2 year cycle, if not even 1 year. They are definitely my favorite apple product released since the iPhone itself.

They really don't need much more. Just a little more battery, wireless charging (without having to buy a new case), and improved gesture/touch controls (maybe a touch strip that would let you do vertical swipes to control the volume or other things.)

I will continue to use my cabled earbuds. I never have to worry about charging and they cost a lot less. I wrap them in a little strip of velcro and the cable never gets twisted or tangled.
Saving money is not a crime.
I back this one.
A few weeks ago I was buying a new pair of wired earphone which was more expensive than the previous one I bought despite they are the same model. Still, the cost of two are still considerably less than one pair of overpriced AirPod.

If you never test them dont speak...because you embarrass yourself
If you have never heared a good quality earphone or headphone please don’t speak... because you embarrass yourself. These do not sound like a 150euro earphone! Are they practical? Yes! Are these a marvel to connect to all your apple devices seamlessly, effortlessly? yes! Do they look good? I would say yes, though some people disagree. Do they sound good?
Definitely not 150euro good!!!

Buying wired earphones—no matter how cheap they are—is an utter waste of money if what one needs are wireless ones.

Haven’t touched them since I got my Airpods.

I just ordered a pair from att. Free delivery in 3-5 days so i'm just hoping they make it.
The not-quite local Target supposedly has some. I'll check tomorrow and cancel att if i can. I'll also call the Apple store. You never know.

AirPods are fantastic. I’ve used mine almost daily since purchasing nearly a year ago.
As an “almost” audiophile, I can admit sound is not what you’d get from over/around-ear or noise-cancelling/blocking headphones, but it’s adequate for normal listening, navigation queues, podcasts, phone calls, and then just plain old hearing your own device in the midst of a crowd.
I didn’t buy for utmost sound quality though. I bought for freedom from wires and cables that get tangled and snag and tug while I try to walk, jog, or run. An unexpected benefit was microphone quality. Phone calls, for whomever I speak with, are clear, audible, and unhindered by crosswind or loud noise from the old vehicle I drive.
Battery life is great and when you finally get them low enough to get the low battery warning, a quick drop in the case for 10-15 minutes gets you a heck of charge in such short time.

That’s enough of that plug.. ha!
I hope the folks getting these in the coming week(s) enjoy theirs as much as I enjoy mine.

Oh, and a tip - if you’re unsure about how they’ll fit, take any old pair of EarPods laying around (I had like 10 pair laying around collecting pens in junk drawers) and cut the cables off. Try em on. Shake your head. Do they stay put? If yes, then go for it.

With the new wireless charging case, could one hypothetically buy the case and then two replacement AirPods rather than purchasing the original set plus the case?

Everyone who loves them says they sound like the apple wired earpods. I think the earpods sound like crap, is it not fair to believe I'll think the airpods sound like crap?

Wake me when they sound as good as $25 Xiaomi wired earphones.

If the quality of the music is so low I have no reason to even be listening to music, that sort of defeats any point in using such a device.

Convenient sure. But bluetooth sucks for many other reasons.

Anyone who says the sound quality is even livable is embarrassing themselves.

I use them every day at the gym and I am impressed with the sound. They are really easy to use, stay charged a long time, and connect to my phone right away. I'm a fan.

They do indeed sound like crap.

Everyone's an audiophile these days.
Then you hear what they are okay listening to and it becomes very clear they are not.
