Not to mention, randomly stops working. I can't tell you how often I've been happily motoring along, waiting for the next direction from the robotic voice when I think, "say, that next turn should have been by now..." only to look down at the phone and find that it's either locked, rebooted, or stopped giving vocal prompts.
Stupendously useful, I tell you. Bring on my elegant, bulletproof Apple solution to the problem no one else was able to properly solve!

Guys, there is no 5, there is only 4S. Enjoy it, love it, buy it. Or don't if you already have a sweet 4. Getting a new phone every year is, frankly, a little weird if they are going to be high end expensive devices. Maybe weird isn't the right term, but "not normal" is probably correct. So don't freak out that the 4S won't be so awesome that you feel the need to upgrade from 4.
It really didn't. You sound like a troll, just being honest. We (or at least I) understand that Apple is not God's gift to technology, but you sound like all the 10 year old android fanboys who say "Open Source is awesome!!!" like they have any idea what open source even is...

And in other news, the world turns. Boy does apple have fanboys in their grip. It's just a cell phone. Way to much hype. Myself, I decided to get off the apple band wagon. Got away from android and back to BB with the new 9930 Bold. Enjoy your new 4S for those who get it.

It took Apple a whole iteration of the iPhone (3Gs) to align the iPhone number with the iOS version (the 3G was just named unwisely). They will not - repeat: NOT - leave this path anymore. The matching iPhone and iOS version is just too valuable to leave behind.

It's interesting to note that the article below states SIX placeholder SKUs are in the system. I wonder if AT&T actually has information on what is coming, or if this is just a guess. Six SKUs could indicate both black & white iPhone 4s models (likely 8GB); and 32/64GB black & white iPhone 5 models.
Or AT&T could just be reserving SKU numbers just in case or could be accessories. We'll know in a week!

Not sure what you're insinuating, but I just want to be clear that I'm not trolling or fanboy bashing (specifically).....I'm just pointing out some ridiculous and glaring flaws in Apple's track record for mobile hardware releases. I know the atmosphere around here tends to shift towards "APPLE DOES NO WRONG. ALL HAIL APPLE", but it doesn't make the truth any less true.
Indeed. That's what I appreciate about Apple. It rarely tries to be the first to do such things. It waits and works on them so it, can, instead, be the best at doing them.
You really do need to understand that. Whenever you say, 'So and so had this first!" or "has had this for years!" be it touchscreens or "FaceTime" or whatever, we all know this. It's "Duh!" (I'm always amazed that you and others are so clueless as to think we'd be surprised to learn such things). What we're waiting for isn't something that's never been seen, it's seeing something that's never been done so perfectly, so brilliantly before.
And you can bet, the minute Apple shows Android how it should be done, how they ought to have been doing it for all those years but weren't...and Android sees all those people snatching up iPhones because the way Apple does it is so much better and the way people want it...Android will copy them
