Can we please stop with this 4S nonsense?

DOES MACRUMORS UNDERSTAND that no what the frigging screen size is, it's still going to be called the iPhone 5?????????????

At last.. The invitation is cool.
But let's just wait till the actual event and see what's new rather than start a new round of rumors. :)

So announcement October 4th,
When is ios 5 released and when will the iphone 4s/5 be released?

A not-so-subtle Assistant reference?

I took the "Let's Talk iPhone" more as a sign to expect somewhat bad news (or to lower expectations), like when my wife says "Honey, let's talk..."

I hope I'm wrong though. Hell, even if it is just a warmed-over iPhone 4, I'll get it on day one as long as it comes to Sprint.

When was the last time WSJ was wrong about an Apple event or product? Maybe they have been and I didn't notice, but it seems like they are spot-on every time. My guess is they are getting fed info. It seems like they are one of Apple's favorites.

With that said, you'll notice that every recent article WSJ has posted on this topic has referred to "iPhone 5". Just saying.

Why would there be a 'Missed call' when we're staring at our phone screen for THIS call? We'd be picking up before it rings a full time...

In Apple lingo that icon represents a "notification"

ONE notification.

A NEW phone.
Simple.

This is driving me :

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/9A5313e)

Calendar Icon: October 4
Clock Icon: At 10:00
Map Icon: At Apple Campus (the map icon is actually the Apple campus if you didn't know)
Phone Icon: We have something to tell you.

Hopefully "Let's Talk iPhone" is in reference to the new Assistant feature. Fingers crossed!

WS is NOT liking this invite as this it hints at reduced expectations re the HW.

cheers

It's just good old journalistic integrity. Places like WSJ, CNN, etc are not going to say something unless they've checked and doublechecked and if they something with absolute certainty it's going to be true. It's when you go to sites like "iphonerumorsthatarenotverified.com" that you may get the wrong information.

This might be me reading into it WAY too much, but does anybody else see this :

The Calendar app read's 4 - 4th October
The Clock app read's 10 AM - The time of the event
The map says 280 and shoes Infinite Loops - The 280 Highway passes right by Apple Headquarters where the event is being announced..
The Phone says '1' - Only 1 phone being announced???

wow did you read any posts in this thread?
