Apple Lost Another 4th Generation iPhone? New Photos of Prototype iPhone

I'm looking forward to the WWDC just to see how Steve handles the iPhone reveal. It's going to be impossible to build suspense and everybody is going to be laughing when they make the reveal (that is, unless, Apple is about to fool everybody).

Steve: "I'm glad we got this back.." (holds up iPhone)
(invites Jason Chen from Gizmodo up on stage to present the device)

Nope, he calls Jason on the phone and says ... I decided to call you since you used your one phone call for your lawyer. Don't you wish you were here?

This appears to confirm the doubled screen resolution. No way the print at the bottom of the screen could be rendered at 320 pixel width.

Interesting that MacRumors chose to use the word "lost" in the title of this thread, because I don't see any evidence of this in the story. It seems just as likely that this prototype was stolen. So I'm wondering if using the word "lost" is an attempt to put a spin on the earlier prototype story?

Overall, I would say that the root cause of these two stories is that with the iPhone beginning to dominate the market, that industrial espionage has correspondingly been ramped up against Apple.

In Greece, educated men used to maintain one long fingernail, usually the pinky, to show they were not blue collar workers. Who can dig ditches with a long fingernail.

That's true of many cultures. The old-style Chinese aristocrats always had those super long nails for the same reason - because they could. A menial worker couldn't, even if they wanted to.

Someone at MacRuors going to have a house search soon! Then they'll take your computers, and you witness and the guy in the USA who bought it will go to prison....

take that freemarket!

I really like the look of this phone, I don't know why some people hate is so much... Everyone has their own personal tastes I suppose...

It really looks like that bottom section can slide off... I wonder what would be in there that you'd need to get access to? Any ideas?

I don't really get why there's a break on the top though, by the headphone socket... Really looking forward to WWDC. There's so many things they could potentially announce there, although I'm betting it'll be all about the iPhone again...

Change is hard to accept, especially in design, where everybody has their taste.

This new design is very efficient and good (my taste) and looks like it will be easier to hold with more edges for a firmer grip. Very professional look.

The buttons replacing the rocker switch will be used for other features I predict. (Block auto switch to horizontal mode for example)
Good in port for gamers to make games with multi button use.

Once people get the new iphone into their hands they 'll never look back at the old.

Will take 64 GB minimum for me to switch/get a new one:)

The screen never changes does it in the video... Why is it locked to that screen image if it be the real thing?
The screen does change. In the beginning it says 'Iteration: 0', later on it writes 'Iteration: 2'. People think this app is run when you start the 'BurnIn' software from the hardware testing firmware.

Couldnt agree more - the current format looks a bit toyish whilst this design looks professional and solid.

My 3GS is mint except the hairline cracks form the stupid plastic casing!!!!

How long after the WWDC does the iphone usually take to hit the shelves?
