The top of the line iphone will be competitively priced between 999-1499 dollars.

According to a note by senior analyst RiddlaBronc from MacRumors to its members.

A good percentage of Apple's customers think the 5.8" is too big, too heavy, and does not fit comfortably in their pockets or hands.

True for perhaps millions of potential customers (2% of sales). Will Apple introduce an updated product for them?

Isn't 5.8" the same size as 6 Plus? That's what I have currently and its perfect.

Edit: I see it's 5.5". I stand corrected.

Too big, but at least this price would fit the amount I want to pay for an iPhone ($499-$550). Perhaps eventually size, specs and price will align.

But if they introduce these models they should replace some older models (not the SE). :p

If true, what a bloated mess of a line up. I suppose that’s what the company is without Jobs there. It was proven in the past and is proving to be so now.

I don’t get how and why they’d mess it up like this. They shouldn’t need SJ to tell them not to do it. If I was there then I would’ve done a similar thing to what they did with iPod and iPad. Bring out an iPhone, iPhone plus, and an iPhone mini. Why is it so hard to keep it simple? And stop changing screen sizes too!! I really do hope these rumours are wrong.

Have all those rumors for hardware and yet I could careless about it. I want new software changes, big ones! Hardware changes are all minimal.

I'll take the 2017 X for less than a thousand. Fingers crossed.

I think they already said that the 2017 X will be discontinued next year. It would cannibalize sales of the new ones since it will pretty much have all the same features and the horsepower is already far more advanced than what's on the market.

Too many models. The $500 one shouldn't look the same as the $1000 one.

It won't. It'll be bigger and use a TFT-LCD screen.

It may be that Apple will introduce a small X SE with about at 4.7 inch display in the physical size of the current SE and a 6.1 inch X SE at a physical size just a bit smaller than the 8 Plus. They both would have designs reminiscent of the current SE. Introduced in June, both would feature LCD displays, A11 Bionic Chips, 2 GB RAM, iPhone 8 cameras, made of aluminum, and be offered in 32 GB and 128 GB configurations with or without dual SIMs. The smaller version could easily start at $549.

The 2018 OLED iPhone X and X Plus will feature the A12, have superior cameras, 4 GB RAM, and configurations of 64/256/512. These phones will retain near current pricing with the Plus $149 more.

The two lines will be differentiated by glass and stainless steel vs aluminum, OLED vs. LCD, A12 vs A11, storage configurations, and RAM.

iPhone 7 will be kept and be priced at $399 for 32 GB taking the place of the current SE.

The iPhone X (2017), 8 and 8 Plus, 6S, and SE all discontinued.

Keep fragmenting the ecosystem!, even now most apps have not been updated to support the X, imagine with sooo many new screen sizes; also think the mess and poor quality in which iOS is now, now imagine having to support so many new iphone versions?. Greed is becoming the death of my beloved Apple, you have already too much money Apple investors!, you are going to kill the goose of the golden eggs!.
Quality over quantity, no need for several piece segments like Android companies!, you have proved that that is not needed for Apple, people buys your stuff anyway, if any, make a cheaper "stylus", 100usd for a glorified stylus, about 1/3 of the price of a new iPad or more than a 2 years iPhone?. We need a visionary, not an operations guy at the head!.

Just got a bunch of iPhone 5 and iPad 4 all with iOS 6 from ebay. They should be able to last for next 10 years for me before the eye pleasing intuitive and fun user interface comes back or another company comes up with it.

Cheap iPhone hopefuls are gonna be disappointed.. Apple is about high profit margin. There needs to be far differentiation of their expensive flagship over the cheapest. LCD/IPS against OLED doesn't differentiate that much.

Early rumors have said the 6.1 will be microLED and the other two OLED. I guess will learn more as the rumors fly!

I'm still not wanting to give up the touchID.
Micro-led first in the Watch and in 2019 probably the iPhone.
