I'd say Steve needs to come to terms with his advancement to bifocals. The changing of glasses started to get kind of distracting, and bifocals would let him be a lot more smooth about it. :)

Maybe he'll develop a new Apple product along those lines... ;)

the quality was great for me (then again, i watched it at 7pm EST) before everyone else found out.

I was getting 640x360..

Yeah, maybe because it's in less demand now the quality is better or something along those lines. I had no difficulties whatsoever in viewing it, so I wouldn't have even thought there may have been prior issues.

MPEG4 encoder/decoder : and H.263 decoder video

This is on the ROKR phone (as in John). The Moto guy was a little vague in a few spots and he mentioned other unnamed specifications and services. itunes video perhaps? Or maybe downloading capabilities that Cingular doesn't offer. It would seem this phone could have been smaller for all it is publicized to do.

itunes 5 has video on the search bar. :p

Yeah the Moto and Cingular guys were a bit sleazy. But cheers for the Cingular guy showin up.

Weird.

Holly sh** I have watched that entire video (in great quality) and while the introduction of such a great product seemed a little bland the ending was a bit peculiar....? I might be stepping over a line here but honestly, I'm guessing that the composition of the crowd was above 80% white and Kanye is rapping about black degradation? It seems a little awkward at an Apple Product introduction. Please, someone correct me with some other insight.

Edit: Furthermore, they are probably all over 40. :D

I thought it was a bit weird as well, but whatever. I find anything involving Kayne now to be "interesting" ever since his little rant on that Katrina Fundraiser with Mike Myers.

But, let's stay on topic, lest this thread be relegated to the Political Forums...

The cutaway to Chris Tucker's expression was just priceless. Ok, where were we...

No really.

This was the conclusion of the event....and a strange one. Don't you think that these people were serious investors and shareholders of Apple/Moto, personal friends, possible company employees? Who really was there that would be into Kanye???

Crowd dead

I think if the crowd was not full of suits and had been a MacExpo crowd then it wouldn't have been so awkward. Kanye IS the man of the moment and he is "thinking differently" so this is only a slight tangent

Poor Steve. He pressed the wrong button on his new phone. I guess he's one of those novice technology users.

Precisely. To quote his own movie line. I don't think he understood the words coming out of Kayne's mouth.

Yeah, we should really be a lot easier on him. :)

Rogers GSM Canada (and it's child company Fido) will carry the iTunes phone. It is listed as coming soon from Rogers.

I don't think that's exactly a great review for the Motorola UI...

So your saying that anyone who possesses a genuine interest in Apple, along with investing or even possibly working for them, by no means would ever like someone like Kanye? I have all the more respect for Apple for allowing him to perform, especially in light of his "controversial" comments of late. Made me wanna get a nano just for that..lol

Yes, I am saying that, that's why I kept 20% aside for others besides the probable middle-aged to older white male with his wife. Also, that's why I posed the question, if it is investors, strictly the press, friends & employees>?

Don't forget about all of the thousands of us watching the stream at home. Job's audience wasnt just the couple of thousand in the room at the time. Good on him for recognising us still.

Wouldn't the press just love the announcement "And here is Barry Manilow to sing us his hit...."

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can watch the keynote using Jaguar. QT7 don't work in Jag :(
When I watched the keynote it was in H264 - but that might have been autoselected. Try it!!

Don't work for me :(

You don't happen to know the link to the keynote do you. Maybe I can paste the link into VLC or something. :)

I'm pretty sure that it's "smart water."
I think so. I know someone who guzzles the stuff, and I have some of the bottles around still.

Important Apple news :)

poor kanye west, not his typical audience.
When the music paused and Kanye's F-Bomb reverberated across the audience, the palpable shock in the audience was the highlight of the event.

I thought it was hilarious.
