Im just worried if I buy the 15 MBP they will come out of with a blue ray 17" in Janurary....

Eeps dont know what to do....

13.3" is not 12". Or the even better size of 10".

These updates are great but they're still not going to satisfy people that want something more portable.

they'll never be able to satisfy these 12" powerbook whiners.

k i'll probably get bashed ^^ but i dont see the point of buying a overpriced laptop if u can get a cheaper one with better specs and even bluray for less ... but thats just me  the only advantage i see is the design which ROCKS

Top end macbook for me i think!!!!

Not the greatest of results but i was very unhappy when he said reducing the price as i thought that was all it was gonna be!

Dude they dropped the price, just because it's not at the price you want, you're crying, people and their expectations.

Crying? I said I wasn't buying it, hop off Apple for a minute and look at what I typed.

i am not going to complain about other reasons but the price...i thing that 1300$ is just too much for an entry level macbook:(

i agree. its even too much for a entry level imac really.

compared to windows laptops and PC which you can pick up for pennies now. but i would never go without my mac!!!

i think i might go for the 1299 macbook, or the 1599 i don't know yet... do you guys think that 2GB ram is enough? or do you upgrade to 4?

Me too. I'm going that one as well (I hope). I want to see prices! (Australian)

I'm very dissapointed in their very outdated pricing structure compared to other notebooks that have gone down considerably in price lately.
Also dissapointed in the glossy only screens. :(

aluminum? who gives crap? As long as plastic is durable enough I am fine with it. Aluminum dents and scratches more easily.

Ugh

The 9600M GT (and it's related 9700M GT) are currently NVidia's top mobile GPU's. There isn't anything more powerful currently. NVidia and ATI are both usually a generation behind their desktop parts.

Jesus, is EVERYONE a bloody expert?

And how about a Quadro option?

Bah - to hell with Apple, this is bull. The "Transition" is clearly going from Pro-users to Consumers... what a pile of dung.

Form over Function till Death Do Us Part. I'm really happy for those of you who're over the moon with the new offerings, because I love gadgets and all things shiny too. But for fellow creative pros, this is a load of cock.

And GLASS SCREEN??? Seriously I took the mickey out of this in earlier posts because I thought it was fake....but WTF?:confused::mad: (decends into whimpering madness).

OMG WTF I still have to pay $2000 for a 15 inch screen you have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?

So much for a Mac being my next laptop *&^%^& %$#^0 !!!!!

Atleast i will save some $$$$

No one ever said buying an Apple was a value proposition. However, OWNING one surely is. I rarely have any downtime on my Macs. Can't say the same with my PC.

Again, what card exactly are you expecting? The 9600M GT is essentially the top GPU you can get, especially in a 1" thick notebook. There's also a slightly more powerful 9700M GT but that is normally found in much thicker and heavier notebooks, or a 9800M GTX which is reserved for 8-10 pound 17" machines.

Sorry, wrong, the 9650M GT is smaller, cooler, faster and requires the same power to run as the 9600M GT.

This was UTTER FAILURE.

You guys are the biggest group of whiners I have ever seen! This is top notch stuff, and you're expectations are unrealistic.

Get over it, or get out.
