I'm finding that in quite a few local places that have the updated readers, even if they don't support Pay officially, it still works on the watch.

Example. I successfully used the watch to pay for 30 tins of cat food, a bottle of wine and dishwasher cleaner in Aldi today.

The cool factor was awesome when I just flicked my wrist at the reader and paid for it. I could actually hear people saying "Did he just use a watch to buy his messages?".

So it's not just Lidl that accepts Pay

30 tons of cat food>! LOL!!

When I've used my iPhone on tfl the touch in and touch out times are recorded in the passbook app under my bank card. Yesterday I used my watch on tfl and it doesn't seem to record anything anywhere, is this right? Also despite touching in and out at 4 different stations and going through 2 sets of barriers, I got an incomplete journey notification with only one of this four stations recorded. Anyone else had this experience with the watch?

I've realised today that for Santander all watch purchases appear straight away in their Spendlytics app.

From what I've read when using Apple pay on the watch you should feel a buzz during transaction. I've not once felt this. All taps and buzzes are working normally on notifications and alarms. Anyone else found this?

Pets at home for cat milk today - contactless store, :apple:Pay worked right up to the taptic notification then failed. Had to use chip and pin. Saying that, the guy in front had his card rejected too - might have been their scanners.

Cats didn't like the cat milk.

(The cats are called Apple and Mac):)

Used in Subway on saturday, went to KFC today and completely forgot and ended up paying by card instead! :p

Also the guy in front of me in KFC had an Apple Watch but paid by cash!

I love Pay. I just dropped Husband at the airport and I needed a drink but had forgotten my purse........Hello! Pay saved the day because I popped into a BP garage, which was also a M&S so I bought dinner too.

Apple Pay is now live for HSBC. Just added my advance debit card to my phone and watch

Used my watch on McDonalds this morning, which took 2 attempts near the reader. Might be user error tho.

Used iPhone at Waitrose at lunch (self service) which worked before I even got it dead close. Perfect!!

Only quibble is no recent transactions for the watch.

Currently in the Out of Hours in Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow with my Grandson. Fancied a packet of crisps but no wallet with me.

Guess what! Apple Pay worked on the contactless vending machines.

80p for bloody crisps though.

Handy! Quite a worthy selection though. Where's the chocolate? Oh the tyranny of the NHS.
