My prediction was a bit off, but still pretty close.![]()
Just curious. How many of the people who are having trouble with OTA updates are those who paid to have their UDID reflect developer status when they really aren't?
Any of you with the trouble legit developers with fully paid developer accounts?
I'm not trying to bash, I'm really just curious.
I have never seen Apple release so many betas before.
You mean, after that "it just works"?
Every day we hear more and more cases where it doesn't "just work"....
...but it seems that more and more of these issues aren't fixed before the "gold master".
The "just works" tag line is becoming a joke. Lion is a mess for some people.... Any reason to expect IOS5 to be any better?
But they have.
They've had 8 before.
I know in beta 6, if you tried to stream a podcast, it would not give you the quicktime player navigation. It would treat it as a song preview. You would be able to stream the whole show, but you would have to stay in the iTunes Store app with the screen on and you were not able to scrub or pause. It's fixed in beta 7 though.
wifi sync was not working for me immediately, but it seems to be working now.
Anyone know if you have iTunes and your iDevice set up to automatically download music purchased on another device works for podcast subscriptions as well? That doesn't seem to be working for me, but I haven't given it fair test yet.
- clean install = no problems on my end
So, "upgrade" doesn't "just work"?
I thought that Apple fans claimed that "reformat - reinstall" was a Windows thing....

Voice Control - when I press and hold Home button, I get a Voice Control screen that sorta works. Is this the rumored iAssistant or has it been there before?
Sure they would, the did with iOS 4. But they may choose to wait for the iPhone 5. Or do it as a 2 day thing. I guess we will find out.
Without being a dev I can't tell you if there are bugs still left to be fixed out, but from what i can tell, iOS5 is pretty polished at this point. I could be wrong though
