^^ such as... me ordering a shiny new white macbook on monday from my college. idk about you guys, but i am extremely tired of waiting, and i love the current macbook, so i decided to just get it instead of taking the risks inherent with a rev a product. besides, the new macbook is most likely gonna be aluminum, and my white plastic macbook/time capsule/hp c4480 setup is gonna be damn sexy. :D

Dose anyone know, or where can I find out Apple "buyers remorse" policy. Will they let me return the power book just because I got it soon, and now I want the new one? I want the damn ipod touch and macbook so bad.

At least hold out until the week of august 5th. We're all in the waiting game together, don't give in!

lol thanks for the support. I just got an email about an update to this thread and I just closed the apple store, I will try to wait.

Haha an Apple Support Group.

Hi my name is Holmes89 and I have a problem checking Macrumors on a regular basis. I've been waiting patiently for 6 months for a new Macbook.

*everyone in the room* Hi Holmes89 <followed by mild clapping>
*me* <Gets up from chair and wraps big, clumsy arms around Holmes89, "it's ok to cry"
*Holmes89* "Nieval had bitch tits.."

dude i love you... definitely wish i had come up with that first.

I'm kind of waiting for a "backup" Mac laptop (just in case my MacBook needs to be sent to the shop) since January, so I hope that Mr. Jobs deals these new laptops out soonest!

BTW, I trudged thru ALL 38 PAGES of this thread. I think 1) Blu-Ray is INEVITABLE (and they should have done the Blu stuff at WWDC imho), 2) an iPod Touch revamp will also be inevitable, whether it'll be at the August event or in September will have to depend), and 3) iTunes 8 is inevitable as well, and Apple had better make it amazing for current iTunes users along with iTunes neophytes!

1) Nope.
2) Why? What would they change? It's just like the iPhone now, unless you want IT to have a plastic back...
3) What "amazing" new thing could they even add?

1) Why so negative? It's not a matter of "if", but "WHEN".

2) I'd actually like IT to have a plastic back, or at the VERY LEAST a scratch-proof back.

3) Here's a hint: Mac/PC applications and games, along with folders in the Library to squirrel **** away you almost never listen to, and a better tagging system for video.

If a new product is released and you want to return your purchase I believe it's 30 days. If it's open I think you still pay a restocking fee.

is that the same, if lets say I get a 32GB touch, and a new touch model comes out with in 30 days. I can return it?

I'm pretty sure that goes for anything with a serial number, but a call a store to make sure. :)

14 days is the return policy, but if you buy a MBP, for example, and a new one comes out, if you bought it within 30 days of the new release they'll let you return it (you'll pay the restocking fee if it's opened, though).

would it be best to order from apple.com, get one at the offical mac store or an authorized apple dealer?

Considering how Apple was happy to add things like CD and DVD writers before they became "mainstream", that they have not chosen to add a Blu-Ray player, much less writer, is a sign that they may very well not consider the technology important enough to offer.

There are some physical limits to fitting a slot-loading drive in some of the current portables (and perhaps iMac), but nothing stopped them from offering it with pre-MW2008 Mac Pro refresh. Yet they didn't do it.

The ISPs are improving their pipes. Here in Seattle Comcast has now doubled our download rate to 16Mb/s for those with the top-tier plan and those on basic now get 8Mb/s.
