Does Tim Cook disclose how many Apple Music free subscriptions lapse? How many Apple Music subscriptions are picked up by carriers?

I for one, will pay for the content on Apple TV+, as I think it's worth it/
Yea and speaking of AM through carriers, how are the handling this with One? Are they going to deduct the AM price from the bundle if you have it though another service like Verizon Wireless?

No, they are [might be] good shows (I really liked TMS), but they are not "the show everyone talks about". You don't see many Dickinson shirts in the wild, you don't hear constant discussions on when TMS S2 will be released, you don't see viral "Ted Lasso must watch videos" pop up everywhere and on the news. There is some movement, there is certainly appreciation for some of the shows, but that's way far from the Stranger Things/GOT/TWD/DW/BB/TP whirlwind.
That's because it's a new service coming out of nowhere and there's a lot of anti-Apple resentment from the Android segment of the market. Also a lot of confusion that you need to own an Apple TV or Apple hardware to watch TV+.

The shows themselves that I listed would be on the level of a top HBO buzzworthy show if not for the lack of general adoption of TV+ and Apple apathy.

But, make no mistake, Apple is gaining TV+ devotees with each of these cult classic shows. Cult classic series eventually become mainstream series over a passage of time. Mark my words, if Apple continues maintaining quality and keeps putting out content, TV+ will find strong adoption and buzz will come.

I don't know if they are gaining devotees or not, but my original statement stands. If they want this to succeed, they need a killer show.

Interesting. Seems like it would be beneficial to give 3 month free trial to anyone who signs up right now as well to get them hooked. Purchase or not.

People that had the year free trial I'm sure have already made their decision whether to keep it or not. But I guess they are probably trying to keep those looking to leave around with upcoming new content that isn't out yet.

Nope. Why would you want to recover a service you disliked so much?
Didn't necessarily dislike but just not worth actually paying individually. Maybe something I liked could have appeared in three months. We are going to take One Premier anyhow depending on how they are handling people with AM through another service.

Remember the Woody Allen quote?

"There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness, and it's all over much too quickly.”

This kinda depressed me.

I'm going to rewatch Ted Lasso to cheer myself up! :)

Happy with this. I activated my 12 months on 27th January, despite buying my 11 last October, so will just make the cut-off period.

I've only watched Central Park and Tehran (which is ongoing), but enjoyed them both so far.

As my extension will take me to end of April next year, there's time for Apple to entice me with another series. If it runs past the end of April, I might even pay the £5/month to get to the end. Unlikely, but who knows.

And I cancelled my free subscription 3 days ago... Yikes.

You're joking, right?

You aren’t alone back in August I thought I was canceling the renewal but ended up canceling the service. They refused to allow me to finish my free trial and I refuse to be the only person the the US who pays for the service. I explained that I had in fact bought three devices this year they didn’t budge.

This is what I can’t wait for..

BOB best mini series ever!
I'm right there with you. Band of Brothers, and to a lesser extent The Pacific are my two absolute favorite shows I've ever seen on HBO. Generation Kill is a lower third, and then Sopranos. But, I am so hyped for a new entry in this series/genre. I am more hyped for that than Foundation, by a long shot.

Oooooh, you are in for a treat. There are so many outstanding shows on TV+ waiting to be discovered. Little America is a deep cut that is outstanding. Not enough buzz for that one. If you enjoy Tehran, I recommend Defending Jacob, also a tense thriller.
