Anyone downloaded the ipsw?

The ipsw has been taken down too.
[doublepost=1534201213][/doublepost]I had no issues on my X or my iPad - so far. My question is what happens when Beta 7!is re-released. Will Apple push any patches to those of us on the latest Beta build?

Performance issues could really mean security issues they don’t want to disclose. Has anyone ever thought that maybe some of these beta’s could be exposing data to 3rd parties without your consent because you don’t really know what these betas are doing in the background, from banking apps to all kinds of apps and website scripts.

Are all these betas really as secure?

They're not insecure but there's always room for bugs.

However, this is not the case here. If that were the case, it would have been explicitly said or a beta wouldn't have been released, while a developer preview would most likely still stand. If you're willing to take that approach, it "could really mean" anything.

Had the same issues on iPhone 8 Plus immediately after installation. It was around 5-10 minutes that apps would hang/misbehave (grayed-out icons when trying to launch, freezing, etc.) but everything has been smooth since. I attributed it to heavy indexing as others have stated. Installed it on iPad (2018) and had zero issues. Perhaps those with beaucoup de apps are experiencing this for a longer period of time?

So this may sound like a stupid question. But I still have beta 7 installed on my phone. When they reintroduce the beta again. Will it prompt me to download beta 7 again?

Apple has trouble releasing just about anything these days. What the hell gives?

My X has the horrible performance that caused the update to be pulled. Ridiculous.

Apple today is a vapid veneer of the Apple I grew up with.

Restoring from backup...

It's called a BETA - By their very nature, BETA software has bugs. You're only supposed to use it for testing on devices you don't rely on.

Managed to update to Beta 7 before it got removed. I have no performance issues on my iPhone X. Beta 5 was a disaster, couldn’t update to Beta 6 or apps. Backed up the device, restored, upgraded to Beta 6 and now 7. So far so good.

The question here should be Why release it in the first place?

For testing. Thus the name. BETA TEST

And IOS 12 is supposed to be faster on older phones? I sense an epic fail in the making. :(

Because a BETA TEST had problem. I sense someone who doesn't understand the concept.

Updated my X earlier today without issue. Everything is running fine. Came home to do the iPads and could find an update. Now I know why.

Wow. They realized the error and pulled it the same day, very commendable.

I wouldnt give them too much credit. Probably found a flaw that was easily exploited & hackers could use to discover more tricks..

Thats probably more likely why they panic pulled it. You think they actually care about the users? Pfft the beta testers are even less likely to get any sympathy.

Yes, truly "ridiculous" that a developer beta would have stability issues.

Given that iOS 12 really hasn’t got that many features and you’d struggle to distinguish it from 11 at first glance, I’m betting that the vast majority of apple’s dev resource is working on ‘behind the scenes’ changes.

You must be testing a different iOS 12 than the rest of us.

Amazing how many people don't know what a beta is.
Amazing how many people keeps defending Apple. In my opinion a trillion dollar company shall not depend of external beta feedback at all. They have enough money to setup an armada of paid testers, and simply just release final versions. But why invest if you can have testers for free. Their plan works out. This just reflects their greedy attitude, which also can be seen in their current bug bounty program. They should at least pay us for each non duplicated bug report.
