Update corrupted my iOS (I assume), and I only get the restore screen on my phone. I tried a soft reset (power and down volume) and nothing. Now I have no phone until I can get home and hook it up to my computer to restore it.

Doesn't seem like many other people are having that problem (yet). Also, seems like you were aware of issues for past updates, and even though you were away from your home computer, decided to roll the dice anyways...? Why?

Same for me. Luckily I was home and got it connected to iTunes for restore.

Updated to 10.1 Was hoping it was going to fix the issue of being able to search messages on iPhone 7Plus(only limited to this model), however I cant search thru messages that happened prior to the upgrade to iPhone 7Plus. This is getting really annoying. Did I pay for the Plus to have "PLUS" problems?

- It actually does affect how you use it on a daily basis. It's very jarring and affects the user experience every single time you press the Home button.
Really expected 10.1 to fix things.

The multitasking animation error can be "fixed" by lowering the speed of double clicks in Accessibility, but it comes at the cost of a less responsive single click since it has to wait longer before it knows you aren't double clicking.
I'm not aware that anything can be done to fix the app exiting animation.

iPhone is connected to iTunes and currently says I'm up to date with version iOS 10.0.2. Yet if I check directly on the iPhone it says iOS 10.1 software is ready.

Yes. However if you take a photo with it that you really like you get to keep it, just as though it were a production feature.

Was your iPad Pro on the latest beta also? Mine was, and I still was able to update to the official release of 10.1. It just updated itself to the same build number that was in the beta though.

I may be mistaken, but wasn't there one beta release build that was only for the iPhone and not the iPad? Both my devices were on whatever the latest beta releases respectively were.

There have been some tweaks to the Messages app. It's now possible to play Bubble and Screen effects in Messages with Reduce Motion enabled, something that wasn't previously possible. There's also a new option to replay Bubble and Screen effects

That was a feature, not a bug, as far as I am concerned...

I'd just like an option to turn off the (as I see it) tacky nonsense in the Messages app, regardless of the reduce motion setting. They could even call the switch that, if they like: tacky nonsense - on/off.

I believe so. Am on AT&T also and the new carrier is showing v.26.0 Could've swore the previous was 25.0. Also, looks like a new modem firmware as well.

FWIW, the alignment on the app SkyGuide is working properly after updating to 10.1 on my 6 Plus

On all other versions of iOS 10, the alignment was off and shaky, and plain horrible.

I'll check again after sunset
