I hope MR posts an article on how bad the new TV app is in 10.2 and more media outlets follow. Maybe Apple can turn this lump of coal into something else before Christmas.

If that is happening on iOS 10.x, it is a regression of a bug I had filed and had fixed in 9.2. It took Apple until 9.3.3 to fix the same "issue" when answering using FaceTime vs the Phone.app. It also completely ignored the setting in Settings > General > Accessibility: Interaction: Call Audio Routing. It wasn't until I filed it as an Accessibility bug and sent my bug report to Tim Cook's mail address with a blurb quoting him about how important Accessibility was to Apple that it got completely fixed. So I can't even muster the energy at this point to comment on how upset I'd be if this regressed. I just can't.I guess they'll never fix the BT issue with the iPhone switching to 'iPhone" when the call was answered with a BT headset, necessitating going into the audio options of the call and re-choosing the BT headset again. Ugh.
When you Connect a Bluetooth audio device after iOS 9, iOS automagically grabs and sets the device as the AirPlay audio output device. Can't change the behavior. One of the SIDE effects of this is that Notification sounds get diverted too. (I'm assuming this is the issue you're referring to.) I have been unable to completely determine, but I think this automagic "grabbing" only occurs with A2DP devices. Apple hasn't/can't/won't tell me what they know. But my headset—a Plantronics m165—advertises as A2DP/AVRCP (even though it is not stereo) for only the FIRST device it Connects to; it can multi-connect, and it Connects to subsequent devices as HFP… when my iPhone Connects as a secondary HFP device, I don't see the m165 in the AirPlay list, and it doesn't get grabbed (I hear Notification sounds out the iPhone speaker). I've filed against this and got it returned as Works as Intended (which it clearly does NOT). I have NOT tested against iOS 10, however I am aware that the AirPlay menu in Control Center is functionally VERY different and likely MUCH MORE BURDENSOME to change than iOS 9. Again, I tried reporting this as an Accessibility issue (which it very much is for me, hearing impaired) to no avail. I also tried to file as a Feature Enhancement suggesting Apple tie Notification sounds to the ringtone behavior, where ringtones are played by BOTH Bluetooth devices AND through the iPhone speaker, making it an Hearing Accessibility setting if nothing else. No dice.did 10.2 fixed the problem with messages notification when you have bluetooth on?
What model iPhone 7 Plus do you have? The one with a Qualcomm radio or one with an Intel radio? Intel radio owners (typically AT&T or T-Mobile) have seen this. HOWEVER! Make sure you go into your Settings > General > About and google the Model you find there! Depending on where an AT&T/T-Mo subscriber purchases the iPhone, they could actually get a Qualcomm radio! If you bought at a Target or Best Buy, or other electronics store, vs from Apple or a carrier store, you might have a Qualcomm model even though you're an AT&T or T-Mo customer. Apparently, Apple is doing that to make supply chain distribution simpler: one model, all networks. (The reason I mention is because I see some AT&T users saying "I don't have that issue." Well, maybe you don't have THAT iPHONE, and you'd maybe not know any better.)I'm still having constant Issues with bluetooth music listening and opening other apps.... (stream gets all garbled up) iPhone 7 plus
There are so many emojis that is easier to just type out words. They've gotten so far from their original purpose.

I'm amazed you lasted so long on the 3GS!I upgraded from a 3GS to a 6S earlier this year
I think you answered your own question.....It's garbage. Baffles me how Eddy Cue and Tim Cook signed off on it.
It's a bug. I was on the phone for over an hour with Apple support and I've been emailing them screenshots. The videos appear if you turn off wifi and aren't using a personal hotspot (basically airplane mode). It just got better for me. I did something dumb a half hour ago, I updated my iPad mini 4. When it was finished, I checked the TV app on my mini 4. My home videos are missing!!! They're still listed in the settings (general-about) and I can delete them in the settings. I rebooted and they're still missing. When I go into the app, it's just a white screen with 'Library' in the upper left corner and 4 options at the bottom: Library (highlighted in blue), Watch Now, Store and Search. When I press library at the top, nothing happens. I can select the options at the bottom, but that doesn't make my home videos reappear.
I'm absolutely disgusted now, at Apple for expecting us to accept this garbage and myself for not reading this forum before updating. Warning to all who didn't update yet: DON'T UPDATE!!! (Unless you don't use the Videos/TV app).
Even if the app wasn't buggy it's still garbage. Certain apps still require a website with activation code to sign in even when the cable/satellite provider they support supports SSO. Some apps support SSO on TV only, others on iOS only. TV app supports HBO Now but not HBO Go. No Netflix or Amazon. None of the big cable providers support SSO. I'm sorry but Apple should never have released SSO and the TV app in their current state. It's embarrassing.I think you answered your own question.....
Just tried installing and reinstalling the TV app on my 7+ and it still isn't rotating when browsing my library. My iPad Air 2 is rotating fine, however.Same here. I can actually get it t play the video after i toggle airplane mode on and off. Completely bizarre behavior.

It does have a landscape mode.

I actually broke down and spent $12.99 for the Infuse app. It can access locally stored content, supports split view, PIP and AirPlay and offers list view UI. Bye bye TV app.Yeah, that's a great workaround. I'm on a live chat with Apple now. Let's see what their solution is, maybe they've come up with something "better" by now? 10.2.1 is probably a day or two away.
And thinks everyone gets all their content from iTunes and subscribes to Apple Music.TV app is US only.. what a bummer. I suppose Apple thinks the rest of the world doesn't know what televisions are.
Except plenty of those details are in fact in the release notes.Happy im not living in US , no tv app and still have video app
Think many bashing apple is because they are to afraid to tell us what bugfixes and performance improvements they done so all they put in update notes is ******** like new emojis and ugly wallpapers
