Wow. For the first time Apple servers seem to be fast here in The Netherlands. Downloaded the 3GS firmware in just a few seconds. 120 mbit (14 megabyte/s) at home ftw..![]()
I hate you.

You're on a 3G. 3 Year old phone. Get over it.![]()
Whats avrc..compatibility whatever it was?
Whats avrc..compatibility whatever it was?
updating went smoothly for me. my 3G went from being almost unusable because of the lag to pretty darn snappy. hopefully it lasts.
I don't notice a massive difference with the HDR, yes it brings out detail in shadows, maybe its because its going dark here?
Okay so I had the iPhone 3GS when iOS4.0 came out and it ****ed up my whole phone. Like my phone became very choppy and glitchy, very slow and delayed movement between apps and the texting got messed up and all these other glitches. I got the iPhone 4 after a few days and the same problem occurred and still occurs (I haven't updated to 4.1 yet). Is this because of how much info I have in my phone or just a software thing? Will 4.1 fix all of that? I'm really annoyed, I miss iOS3, never gave me glitches.
Someone help me out!
It nuked all applications from my phone. THANKS APPLE, YOU ********* RETARDS!
Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)
This game center sucks. I keep trying to sign in and it just starts going through the new account and says my apple id is already in use. What a joke
Factory unlocked iPhones are not going to magically lock ...unless Apple's servers screw up -- in which case we're all screwed![]()
Updating now. Very impressed with the folks who predicted release at 10 am Cupertino time.
It's not a true HDR. It uses 1 photo, and post processes it.
That being said, it does a great job for a mobile phone, and a mediocre job if it was a desktop computer.
Keep in mind that HDR is really only advantageous on pictures that have areas of under or over exposure.
What made 3GS users assume that HDR was coming to their device?
The demo at the keynote showed the iPhone 4 using the feature, and there was no mention of the 3GS or it's inferior camera.
I have to admit, listening to 3GS owners moan about not getting new features is utterly enjoyable after some of the crap and borderline ridicule they dished out to 3G users around the time multi-tasking and (especially) home screen wallpapers were confirmed as no-go for the 3G. At that time, I personally owned a 3G and the level of sheer enjoyment coming from 3GS users with their superiority complex was astounding.
They're tasting their own medicine now. Enjoy.
