When you scroll up in messages to read old messages, the keyboard hides so that you can view them on the whole screen. Super useful!

In Settings > General > Accessibility > Physical & Motor there seems to be a new Assistive Touch Menu that looks like it could be very interesting for gestures in the future for iPhone...

Finally!! I've been waiting for that. So sick of going to another message and then back to the original so I could see more screen. Very happy to hear this.
 
Can someone please test the Chase Bank mobile app and let me know if it is crashing for them in the beta 2? Need to figure out if its me or the beta. (Probably me)

Also, have we figured out a way to migrate a current mobile me over or do we need to make a new one from scratch? I keep checking to see if my usual one works but nothing.
 
Multitasking gestures for iPad 1

Can someone tell me if the multitasking gestures are enabled for the iPad1?
 
i cant get itunes 10.5 to load in windows 7 x64, installs fine just wont load. any ideas?

tried uninstalling 10.3.1 but no luck

Uninstall and clean the registry from all mentions of iTunes. I had to do this with beta 1 but beta 2 installed over the old one fine this time.

Still not possible to migrate a MobileMe account. I'm afraid you have to make a new one for testing purposes.

Multitasking gestures are not enabled on the first generation iPad, at least as far as I can tell so far.

Oh good then... But why don't they promote it that way then? That's like saying "make sure you don't drive your car while the engine is running... but you can if you want to...".
 
IPSec VPN with certs

Hi Guys,

Beta 1 broke IPSec XAuth for us. It appears it is requiring a publicly signed cert to complete the connection. I hoped Beta 2 would fix this but it does not.

Anyone else having VPN issues?
 
I read that upcoming events are displayed in the Notifications Centre now.

Can anyone confirm whether these are upcoming calendar events? Or some other events?

Upcoming events. Although strangely there doesn't seem to be a way to clear them out.

The whole mobileme, appleid, icloud, email thing confuses me and fustrates me..

i have an itunes account that is an old .mac email address that wasn't upgraded to mobileme.. i still use it as an ichat log in.
I have a mobileme family account and i use to sync..

Just wait till iCloud launches properly when the process will be a straightforward one - you really don't want to be moving your 'real' MobileMe stuff to iCloud yet anyway, as it's likely that during the beta phase iCloud accounts may get wiped from time to time.
 
SMS messages aren't showing on the lock screen like they did in Beta 1.

I've checked the Notification settings and it's set to "Show On Lockscreen".

This happens when you reach the end of your video. They work fine while its but fail to give you any control once the video is done.
 
Could anyone explain why my beta2 .ipsw is 856.9mb large (it works though)?

And also... why cant i sign in to icloud with my gmail(itunes) account?

More like "don't wash your car while the engine is running" or even "don't put gas in your car while the engine is running"
