After the update I got concerned when my Wifi didn't work. Another re-boot solved that fortunately.

No its not because everyone that picks up a 6 plus automatically tries to tweak it. Don't forget that this is on CNN, everyone knows about it.

No way the apple store employees leave bent phones out. They're not stupid. Plus you can try to tweak it all you want but unless you exert a lot of obvious force (which would attract security's attention) you ain't bending a 6+. I have one. It doesn't bend.

40,000 phones equals out to about 0.004% of the 6 or 6 Plus models sold over the weekend.

Aside from it actually being roughly 0.4% of all models sold, what percentage of people that actually updated their phone saw a loss of cellular service and touch ID?

I suspect that it is a FAR higher percentage of those that actually updated since many probably didn't even know there was an update available and others weren't able to do the update prior to it being pulled.

Wtf!!!!

Funniest thread I've read in awhile.....as for me, still showing "iOS 8.0 Your software is up to date" message on both iPhone 6 plus and iPhone 6 here.

Ok, just got the update available over OTA and downloaded and installed iOS 8.0.2

iPhone 6 plus restarted and have been "SEARCHING...." for past 10 mins
Resetted Network Settings, rebooted and same result....

I love you Apple, but this is rediculous...btw, I'm on AT&T in Florida

Updating my iPhone 6 and the wife's from 8.0 to 8.0.2 went flawlessly and both work fine.

BUT my old iPhone 5 I wiped clean earlier today and installed iOS 8 with a clean install to use it as an "iPod touch" with only a basic set of apps and my iCloud ID. No problem UNTIL tonight I updated to 8.0.2 which crashed during install leaving me in recovery mode having the "plug into iTunes" screen and no choice but to wipe it all over again

Wtf apple!

well that's different than the 8.0.1 problem, so that's progress.

I was standing next to a 14 year old tweaking them today. I was able to bend one at the store also. If you can't bend one then......maybe a little gym time is in order for you.......

Workin' just fine down here in Texas. 4.7 inch 6 is fine and so is the iPad rMini. I haven't picked up my iPad Air yet, but will update it too before the night is over.
