Don't install if you're running an old iTunes version! (I do btw.) Especially version 12.6.5 where you have access to the iOS App Store. According to German online magazine Mac&i/Heise it won't work any more under Mojave!

https://www.heise.de/mac-and-i/meldung/macOS-Mojave-Update-Warnungen-von-Entwicklern-4171776.html

Other software needs updates, p.e. Cubase by Steinberg. There are problems with other audio software as well.
I would love to have the older iTunes back, I miss storing my ios app on my computer, see all my ringtones.

App store says No Updates Available. Did Apple shut it down due to the bypass flaw??

Almost fail but found a work through*

2018 mbp

(Clean install from HS to Mojave with USB installer)

1. I booted into Startup Utilities
2. Erased the main HD partition
3. Restarted the computer
4. Tried to boot up from my Mojave Installer USB (Hold Option key)
5. Error. Due to security reasons I couldn’t boot from an external source AND the Internet Recovery wouldn’t work either!
6. While trying again to use internet recovery; (this is the important part) after the globe and download screen, the computer restarts with the normal Apple Logo.
6B. During this startup sequence screen hold Command~R to access the Startup Utilities as per normal.
7. Within the Startup Utilities select “Install OS”, select USB and install as normal.

If you miss step 6B it will be an endless loop of not being able to use an external start up disc and not being able to use internet recovery.

I was fairly certain I bricked the computer until I figured this out. This will save a lot of people heartache and a trip to Apple. Good luck

And in 2018, Apple can't even command a queue for the iPhone or Apple watch outside their Apple Stores on the day of their release. Stores in Birmingham and Solihull in the UK didn't have any queue that wasn't larger than any ordinary day.

Almost everyone I know that used to queue up now pre-orders online or is on the Apple's Upgrade plan. There is no reason to queue up for any Apple stuff nowadays, their retail chief actually mentions they don't want these queues anymore; they prefer new customers rather than current customers, so they want all current customers to get new devices via other methods.

So if you have a MacBook Air or non retina iMac that are still being sold, the fonts will look like crap? Is Apple seriously releasing software that will make your fonts look like crap? Then this upgrade should be skipped. How many people will not realize this and suddenly after reboot, the screen fonts are terrible. Laughable.

2013 27" iMac with a fusion drive. For the first time ever I didn't bother upgrading last year and I never felt like I was missing anything. Looking forward to bumping up to Mojave in a few days when the downloads are faster.

An elegant way to silently drop old hardware

The term “supported” seems to have been stretched somehow for certain older machines

iTunes won't open after updating, just crashes.

No updates showing in new App Store even though before update install 3~ were showing.

Two finger tap on a link for context menu beachballs Safari every time without fail for 5-10 seconds.

Random beachballs everywhere else.

I've never complained about a macOS release since first owning one in 2012 but this one isn't giving me great first impressions in all honesty.

Runs great on my 2012 iMac, IF Apple get their act together and release a decent upgrade I might upgrade to a 5K iMac later this year, Dark Mode will probably look even better in 5K :)

Mid 2013 took about 2 long hours from start to finish. Let’s hope it doesn’t kill my MacBook Air
