What were the reason for dropping those? ( Apart from pushing people to buy newer Mac ? ) I think 2011 MacBook Pro would have a 64bit CPU ?
A very sad and depressing day to all of us who still using an older Mac from 2009, 2010, or 2011...
Supported since DP2. Now maybe you could download and troubleshoot the problem with your GPU?What happened to support for Mac Pro 5,1 models with Metal GPU support?
False promise? Good luck on that modular Mac Timmy.
It's probably exactly the same as the last beta, 18A389, and all they've done is do a new build to bump the build ID.It's a new build, 18A391.

Yes and yes. No question the 2011 Macs should've gotten dark mode, even if next year's 10.15 release drops support for them.Love dark mode. Should have happened years ago!
Yeah just done that too.....until they start issuing beta updates, when my curiosity will ‘oblige’ me to re-register for betas.......Nice to have the real release. And now to move off the beta life and install the official version.
This machine was only discontinued just under two years ago so I'd reckon it's got another 3-4 years of OS upgrades in it yet.My mid 2012 classic lives another year...
Best machine I ever bought haha
Two more years of HS patches then switch to Win 10. Microsoft still cares about us.
Hope they release beta 1 today as that'll fix all the bugs in 10.14.0.NO It was removed a few betas back. Probably will be in 10.14.1 beta 1
It's been like that for a year or two. Non-retina displays look awful. No subpixel anti-aliasing for non-retina displays? So all of us Air users are out of luck?

No Metal support on the GPU... the discontinued models were pre-AMD GCN, NVIDIA Kepler, or Intel Ivy Bridge integrated graphics.

That's only a problem if Win 10 stops supporting those graphics cards. Windows still has drivers from 1992 in Windows 10 so not something to be concerned about. But AMD, NVIDIA and Intel don't. You'll find your graphics are equally unsupported on Windows 10.
Annoyingly the download seems to be getting throttled.I'm on a gigabit connection at work, and the first third of the download was at near-gigabit speed, then it got throttled and now it's only pushing about 2-3MBytes/sec at most.
Nice tease, Apple servers.![]()
