for low-cost MacBook, mac mini, and possible other things?

I would have guessed this release would have aligned with that event.

Late 2011 Mac Book Pro, Core i5 2.4GHz, not supported. Has SSD and 16GB of RAM, not supported. Runs better than my 2012 iMac without an SSD, not supported.

Perhaps, but 18A389 will not update to 18A391 using software update. The full installer needs to be downloaded.

Possibly. I'll be installing 10.14.1 beta 1 over 18A389 anyway (hope tomorrow!) so 18A391 is not something I'm worried about.

This machine was only discontinued just under two years ago so I'd reckon it's got another 3-4 years of OS upgrades in it yet.

This is music to my ears. I upgraded the RAM to 16gb and it’s running a SSD.

Thing works amazingly efficient!

So I unenrolled from the Beta Seed, then clicked the link here and took me to the App Store, clicked Get now downloading though thru the Software Updates in the system preferences. That's very different for those of us on 18A389.

UPDATE: Downloaded in under 2 minutes full 6.02GB.

Yeah, I sort of got lucky with my Mac Pro 5,1 that I bought 2 years ago that it is still supported in Mojave with a Metal-capable GPU. But, it is the only Mac I have now that can run it. My Mid-2010 15" MBP will be stuck in the High Sierra mountains....

It's been like that for a year or two. Non-retina displays look awful.

High Sierra looks fine on the Air's screen. Mojave is 10x worse.

The reason a lot of the older machines can’t run Mojave is that Apple is requiring the GPU to support Metal 2.

Don't install if you're running an old iTunes version! (I do btw.) Especially version 12.6.5 where you have access to the iOS App Store. According to German online magazine Mac&i/Heise it won't work any more under Mojave!

Other software needs updates, p.e. Cubase by Steinberg. There are problems with other audio software as well.
