You have absolutely given me hope today and I really appreciate your comment and have put things in perspective today. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who gives me strength! God doesn’t make junk and get outta the pity party and appreciate the life I have. I may not be where I want but I recognize that I am worth it to fight harder and to stop hating myself. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and be blessed!

I just checked the devices supported list and my 2015 MacBook Pro isn't on the list. So I can only use it with my iPad mini. Disappointed but that's life.

I found a bug:
  • click on Apple icon (top left corner)
  • click on “About This Mac”
  • click on “System Report”
  • System information Window appears
  • System information menus missing from Menu Bar
If I open System Information app the menus appear in Menu Bar correctly…

Please can you try and let me know?
Please can anybody try and give me a feedback?

Yeah after a lot of hating on Monterey I have finally updated my M1 Air from Big Sur. I was very staunchly against it until this 12.3 update came out and I’ve been running the RC for a few days and so far I’m happy with it. Good to see the final release is the same build.

Here’s to hoping I don’t run into any issues!
I've found Monterey to be rock solid since 12.1 which fixed the memory leaks for me on my 14" Pro. Personally I'm enjoying Monterey and these 14" MacBook Pro's are just insanely fast. My wife has a 2020 Intel Air and the difference is startling.

Is it just me that Magsafe stopped charging after the update (amber blinking)?
I tried a USB-C charging, instead and it charged my MBP M1 Pro normally, then went back to Magsafe charging. Now it started charging again ?
Had my MagSafe connected and working the whole time without issue.

Anyone know if 120hz is good in safari now for scrolling? Why is it an experimental feature?

Also I think memleaks have been sorted since 12.2.1
I noticed zero difference when I enabled it. Safari feels smooth.

12.1 fixed the memory leaks for me.

I guess I got unlucky here.

No power failures or anything, but the update corrupted my M1 Pro 14 inch MacBook Pro’s firmware.

Having to try and “revive” the system from another mac with Apple Configurator in DFU mode.

Not quite how I planned to spend my evening!
Sorry to hear that. My M1 Pro 14" updated without issue.

Apparently, "Universal Control" doesn't apply to tvOS
Sidecar and Universal control would be perfect for Apple TV. Hopefully that comes next. I like being able to mirror my display to my Apple TV but using the Apple TV in sidecar mode would be even better.

My 2015 MacBook Pro 15 indeed does not run Universal Control but it's available on my 2021. I will need to update my iPad mini 5 to test it out. It looks like the mail database format changed between versions and Mail is apparently converting the database and it looks like this will take quite a while.

For people with M1 Pro/Max, to enable ProMotion, remember go to Develop -> Experimental Features -> [Untick] Prefer page rendering updates near 60Hz
I don't get it, I tried with on and off and it seemed the same, isn't the default now working with promotion but I noticed a change on the last safari preview one but now it feels the same

Yeh lots of other friends did too! My mac is only “unusual” in that it had a replacement logic board back in January for a faulty HDMI port.

I’m wondering if something about that logic board replacement wasn’t done correctly and so it’s failing to update something like the touch ID firmware.

I’ve tried a DFU restore of 12.3 and even that fails. The only thing that I can do to make the mac boot is DFU to 12.2.1.
