I prefer to sort my own email, I don't need a computer or so-called AI to do it for me. i don't use Gmail, while I do have an Android phone, I have my own domain and use a third party email provider.
I guess it’s why you can turn it all thankfully. We are moving into the age where AI and ML will sort our stuff out for most people but like I said it’s cool that you can turn this all off and get Sonoma mail.

why is the mail the exact same, im not seeing the new photo contacts, looks exactly the same

I hope the issue with the random second screen turning black and not coming back on is resolved.

Also, the random external SSD "not disconnected properly" messages when waking the Mac up from sleep.

Go to "View" and select "Show Contact Photo" Weird its not on by default
I done that but the contact pics are wrong like cinema tickets which is a business has a square icon on my phone but on the Mac its just circle like the others

Maybe it'll take some time to sort it self out. Some of mine are different also. State Farm, T Mobile, Target and Netflix are showing correctly some others are not.

Are you sure it’s not the cable or monitor? Macs are notoriously picky with non-Apple monitors.

This has been a problem with USB 3 SSDs for over a decade. Luckily it appears to be solved with USB 4 / Thunderbolt SSDs, at least on my M4 Mac mini with Sequoia.

However, a few people have reported it’s back with Thunderbolt 5.

Question, why doesn't Mail on MacOS pull the same Contact photo/icon as iOS? It's dumb that it's different from each other.
