Well, after everybody and their dog threw a temper-tantrum over the back of the iPhone 5 scuffing a little bit, what did you EXPECT Apple would do!?

Great ad, awful music. Definately not reflective of the people that use Apple products.

Some Beatles or Dylan would have been much more fitting.

I use apple products and think the music is brilliant. If Apple uses one more Beatles record in an ad I think i'll throw up. Their music wasn't that great to begin with they couldn't sing that well and they weren't the best at really anything other than being the first Boy Band.

You're missing the point. It's not about how good/bad the Beatles were.

Steve veneered them - as his loyal followings, we should all do as well.

You know I love Apple products, as many of you probably do, but I feel like they have been going downhill for a while now.

Maybe our expectations have been too high? Maybe It's because Steve is gone, I have no clue what the reason, I just don't feel like It's the same company it was.

I was recently actually going to buy an iPad Mini, but after seeing the features of iOS 7, and trying the iPad Mini in person, I saw nothing really new.

Features that have been on Android & Windows Phone for a long time now, it's like they literally ripped some of the experience straight from those platforms, look at multitasking, It's exactly like Windows Phone OS, the notification bar straight from Android =/

I'm sticking to Android. I switched a while ago and I'm fairly happy with it. iOS is no doubt still the fastest in terms of OS performance and responsiveness, but that's about it.

Not necessarily. This is an easy way for apple to maintain their margins and give people a new product instead of last years product.

Granted with the pricing it will help them maintain their margins. But someone with the Apple's image of premium, no expense spared build quality, this doesn't seem quite right. I'll wait until I see one hands on before making any judgments. Business wise, it will probably be a good move. But I'm a consumer, I don't care if it''s good for Apple's bottom line. I'd rather be the one saving money, and at $100 less than the 5s, it's not a good deal for the consumer. IMO, of course.

To remain on the top of the tech ladder forever is not going happen to any companies in history. Sony was used to be the king. So was Microsoft. Apple is not different.

There is not so much that apple can innovate, especially when the visionary man SJ is gone. Even if SJ comes back to life, apple will struggle to be on the top ladder for long. when a company comes out the the same products with different colors, they run out of innovations.

In this case, history repeats itself. it is Mac vs Window version all over again. it is Apple vs the rest, where the rest dominates. Mac is great but it is a niche market. iphone will play its niche market as Android would dominate the world with its cheap varieties.

Apple may have made a comeback with the colourful iMacs last time. Then the design was innovative and refreshing. Now this iPhone 5C is just like a coloured candy coating over a very tired and tested form factor.

There is no buzz in the 5C or 5S for me. Then again, this is personal, some of you may be completely beholden by the new colours and features of both phones. That is a very personal matter.

Maybe they should use this song the next time:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEeFNvvR-ng

Even the lyrics are fitting

Hey Ah Na Na
Innocence is over
Hey Ah Na Na
Over

Hey Ah Na Na
Ignorance is spoken
Hey Ah Na Na
Spoken

Hey Ah Na Na
Confidence is broken
Hey Ah Na Na
Broken

Hey Ah Na Na
Sustenance is stolen
Hey Ah Na Na
Stolen

Hey Ah Na Na
Arrogance is potent
Hey Ah Na Na
Potent, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Hey Ah Na Na
I repent tomorrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Tomorrow

Hey Ah Na Na
I suspend my sorrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Sorrow, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Hey Ah Na Na
A romance is fallen
Hey Ah Na Na
Fallen

Hey Ah Na Na
Recommend you borrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Borrow, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Macbook Pro - Best laptop on the market
Macbook Air - Best consumer laptop on the market
iMac - Best consumer level desktop on the market

iPod - Best MP3 player
iPad - Best tablet on the market
iPhone - Best smart phone (as rated by almost every source) on the market

What am I missing???

I don't get why people are so bothered by the plastic. I would strongly prefer a plastic iPhone over glass, considering how often my phone gets bumped around or dropped. Besides, the important part isn't necessarily the materials, but how they're engineered.

Yeah, look how badly colored iPods flopped.

You're either with us or against us. If Android serves you better, then you are persona non grata to our community.

There is already enough Fandroid trolling on this forum as it is.

These are all legacy products that Steve still had control over.

The plastic iPhones, iOS 7, the MacPro form factor, iTunes 11 are new and all show a lack of consistency and attention to detail. That's the problem...

love love love people who act like they know steve jobs and what innovation is. peopl elike to glance over all the duds and the time required for steve jobs to get his success.

That is definitely true of iOS 7. iOS7 feels like its not finished design wise. Many of Apples own app icons haven't been updated etc… and some of the design tweaks don't look good like when I do a search in the search bar. The underline doesn't go all the way across the screen but the highlight does go all the way across the screen. Stuff like that really irks me. Overall I like iOS 7 but they need to get it finished already. Maybe they can bring Wozz back or somebody to be a figure head or that really has a close design eye.

so what's the difference btw the plastic used in the ip3g vs ip5c that all of a sudden it's now perfected plastic?
