Apple pulled the videos from their site because they were obviously doctored, well obvious to anyone outside the cult of apple fanboys.

Again, a lack of a 3G signal isn't doctoring. Until you provide evidence of each video being a complete lie stop spreading ********.

Clear up my confusion and bring me back to reality then. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

You're really confused ? The stat is 0.55% of iPhone 4 owners called Applecare about it. This stat doesn't say anything else. It doesn't say that it's the number of americans affected, nor does it say it's the number of people who care about the issue, not does it say it's the number of units affected.

It's plain as day what it says : 0.55% of iPhone 4 called Applecare about it. Any other interpretation of the number to mean anything else is false.

How do i become a card carrying member of the "Cult of Apple"?

Having a vacuum framed Jan 09 issue of Macworld with Steve on the cover celebrating 25 years would be a good start (I have 3). Otherwise, simply view Steve as a Deity. Believe everything he says. See everyone else as the enemy, and take classes in "How to control your environment".

Speaking for myself only, it was simply the user experience, and the intuitive design of the software. Of course this is now becoming a symbiotic relationship with the new hardware. However, the Control Classes still apply. :apple:

No idea. Maybe you should ask the Church of Scientology for a personality test.

If you stick a paper clip in an electric outlet you can and will probably get electrocuted, I don’t know to many people that have the problem of a paperclip in their hand when holding their cell phone. Same as I don’t know people that stick paperclips in electric outlets!

LOL, pheww, I was beginning to think I was the only one who used my phone without sticking a paper clip against it.

Well some of us don't believe the video footage of UFOs, bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, I assume that you believe in those since their is video.

I honestly don't see why apple is balking at drawing other phone manufacturers in. If Nokia, motorola and rim can claim that the iPhone suffers from antenna problems but there's don't - apple has every right to fire back.

So was it legal threats or did Apple finally decide to stop acting like a five year old and pointing the finger at everyone else. I would really like it to be the second reason.

Hey, pointing the finger has worked innumerable times for when I was stuck in dirty situations, as I'm sure it has for you as well. You can call it an elementary tactic, but perhaps it's reasonable. I always got what I wanted when I was young .

That's a horrible comparison. We have evidence against those not existing. You, on the other hand, have no evidence that Apple was doctoring videos.

Neither. Apple did a press conference and set up this site to demonstrate to potential customers that there is nothing particularly wrong with the iPhone, and they succeded at that, so the site is not needed anymore. Obviously this cannot convince the apple haters, but so what?

Wait, I don't get this quote. Are you saying you have evidence of the existance of UFOs, Bigfoot and other strange phenomena ? The use of double negative here is weird. Why didn't you just say "We have evidence of those existing" instead of using both against and not ?

Or are you saying we have evidence of those not existing ? Really, you, Warbrain, a mere human, managed to prove the non-existance of something ? You have evidence of a negative ?

Is this proof enough for you fanboy?

I love it, apple acts as if because other companies have similar problems [which in most cases the other phones DONT DROP CALLS, regardless of signal loss] it is perfectly fine for their phone to have it.

Still the same result. "We're going to pump power to the antenna when there's a low signal so it looks like more bars when really the signal still sucks."

No again that is not the case. This post more proves that you do not understand how cell phone antennas work.

All cell phone antennas will pump more power into the antenna in a low or crummy signal area in order to keep receptions or even work. I have been watching my blackberry battery die a lot quicker the past few days were I have been because in this house the signal is well crap (1-2 bars if I am lucky) It dropping at about twice the normal rate and the change is the crummy singal.

Apple putting the Nokia in low power mode screws with it and does not allow the phone to ramp up as powerful and I would not be surprised if it turns off one of the antennas on the phone.

Just like apple not running the Droid in 3g area that could effect it in maybe both antennas are not running.

Perhaps you should constitutionalize the legislation of the ACL (Apple Cultists League). You seem qualified. ;)

You have no proof they we not doctored, and have ignored proof that they were. I think anyone outside the cult of apple would be a little suspicious. Apple, produced a video in an Apple test facility, under conditions Apple created, for an outcome Apple wanted. How anyone with a with at least a fifth grade education could believe those videos is beyond me.

What does it prove? That the Droid X does indeed have signal attenuation?

Also, that link is to a site explicitly revolving around Android. Try again?

Good thing too. Apple have better things to concentrate on, like fixing QA issues.

Those videos were pointless - they didn't compare against iPhone, and in some cases, unrealistic death grips. We don't know the environment the phones were in - low reception area etc?

I know several people who decided against the iPhone due to the antenna issue. They will either keep their existing phones or get Android.

Don’t worry, I don’t think you can get a ring in an electric outlet?
But good luck to you.
Of course not, but since you was referring to the iPhone antenna gap, and that can be bridged with a golden ring. Not too difficult either.

Please note:

Have = conjugation for plural noun
Has = conjugation for singular noun

Apple = singular
The People at Apple = plural

The people at Apple have...
Apple has...
