They forgot to mention battery life...
You may want to listen more closely the next time!
They certainly did -- 18 hours with mix of LTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi! More than all day, in other words!
They forgot to mention battery life...
Except do EVERYTHING without lugging an iPhone around. Out for a run and want to buy a drink? use your watch. need to answer a call? use your watch. messaging? watch only. Seems like a major upgrade to me.Pass, the fact they couldn't give a monthly price means it's going to be high. I'm guessing 15-20.00 a month. I can't see a reason to pay that much for it. And without cellular 329 is a good deal but Series 2 can do all the same stuff minus stairs.. so again no reason to upgrade.
Silly isn't it! Even this version is just a stepping stone, ultimately the Watch should be able to completely replace a cell phone for many users but that is still years away.Evidently it is the Apple Watch Apple always wanted to make. Amazing all the hours spent by Apple advocates over the last several years slamming anybody who said the watch wasn't perfect when first released, and didn't need any of the features Apple has since added, and indeed claims they always WANTED.
good point. you're right. They would have said free or $5/month if it was true because that would have been good news.Pass, the fact they couldn't give a monthly price means it's going to be high. I'm guessing 15-20.00 a month.
If you like the watch face for Nike there's that, but for me it seems the Nike flavor is the only one to include the black nylon loop. The regular comes with "olive".Is there any reason to buy the nike one over the apple watch? They're both listed as Series 3 now.
You nailed it. It will be just like adding an iPad to an existing post paid plan. $10 extra a month.AT&T has already said that its NumberSync platform will be available on the watch for free, but you'll spend $10 a month to join it to an existing data plan.
Agreed. That is my use case. I already run without my phone for most runs (AW2+AirPods). But I occasionally go on long runs in the middle of nowhere, and I still take my phone. I don't want to be miles from assistance if I get hurt or sick.I don't own and have no immediate plans of owning an Apple Watch, but my marathon friends have really wanted a watch that could make and receive phone calls while training. They already use the watch for monitoring their workout but have to carry their phone as well. This will make one less thing to carry.
What's with the red dot? Am I the only one that thinks it's ugly?
So how much is the LTE going to cost a month?
I think I have waited long enough.I heard the next one will be even better. May be worth the wait![]()
If you can surf with it, it has to be water resistant, capable of take the water pressure from a wave when you fall off your board. But is it water resistant though? Genuine query
Lol, yep, straight out of this classic Portlandia skit:"It's free but it's 10 dollars."
Exactly. No need to update my Nike watch from last year. So that's nice. I even roll in airplane mode often throughout the day. Notifications can be distracting and it shuts off the bluetooth.I’m probably in the minority by I’m glad they are still making a WiFi only version. No sense having cell phone radiation plastered on my wrist 24/7...
This is just for calls right? So it should still be much more time if you get pinged with messages? (hopefully)From Apple's website on the battery life for calls...
Up to 3 hours connected to iPhone
Over 1 hour connected to LTE
Ouch...![]()
Wow, this article has been up for nearly two hours and nobody has complained yet that the watch isn't round.
A new record, ladies and gentleman.
So wait, what is the difference between series 2 and series 3 again?
What's with the red dot? Am I the only one that thinks it's ugly?
Wonder if it's more battery in the non-LTE then 18hrs?
Not sure what your point is, but just to be clear, I liked the Apple Watch since its first release. I liked the second one even more. This third release now brings a watch I consider worth my $500+.Evidently it is the Apple Watch Apple always wanted to make. Amazing all the hours spent by Apple advocates over the last several years slamming anybody who said the watch wasn't perfect when first released, and didn't need any of the features Apple has since added, and indeed claims they always WANTED.
