What's amazing is that you don't understand sarcasm
What is amazing is that sarcasm is often virtually undistinguishable from stupidity. In fact, often, repeating a stupid phrase verbatim with just a slightly different intonation turns it into sarcasm.

Wow! Now, these all sound like great new features, especially getting rid of the ugly home button. ;)

If these very early rumors can be relied on for accuracy perhaps we might even have the choice of the "all-glass" model, or models with a little bit of aluminum casing for those of us who might like a little colored aluminum. :) Gold iPhone 8 anyone?

My only personal reservations are (i) all modern smart phones are now getting so big and clumsy to handle, and so easy to drop and break. 5.5"!! I always thought technology was making things smaller?:) (ii) with such great tech & features are we finally going to enter the territory of approaching the Bank for a Mortgage to buy one of these phones? :)

Your sarcasm aside, unless they add a home button to the side of the phone this will be a nightmare navigating through apps.
...

Actually, Android phones have had a non-physical Home button for a while now and it works very well.

Samsung will probably be out to market with a fully bezel-less full-screen phone at the beginning of 2017, with the Galaxy S8 -- they are rumored to have the fingerprint sensor under the glass and get rid of the front key.

2017 might be actually interesting time for mobiles.

I've been writing on here for a long time about a 5" size, but I figured it would come alongside 4" and 6" models. I figure with the drastic reduction of bezels, the 5" model would be roughly the size of the 4.7" model, and the 6" model would be roughly the size of the 5.5" model, with both being shorter.

4.7" and 5" seem too close together. Perhaps a 4.7" with reduced bezels would be closer to a 4" iPhone size, but I think 4.3" would space things out better—especially with that other rumor about the 5.5" size possibly going to 5.8".

One reason I can think of for not wanting to go below 4.7" is to avoid fragmentation of display sizes by not introducing something in between 4 and 4.7". But really, if 5" is the new 4.7" due to a reduction in bezels and chins, then why not just jump from 4" to 5"? It would be nice if the 4" model could always be kept as current as possible for those users who don't want a big phone. My wife loves her SE. It's a great phone that should last another four years like her iPhone 5.

Iphone 7 is really an iphone 6se, but Tim had the courage to keep the name to avoid customer backlash.

Anyways, with Pixel and S7 being on par and better than the iphone 7, Apple really doesn't deserve to charge a premium.

For me, the note 7 was awesome, too bad they messed up the quality issue and had there exploding issue. It really would have bitten into Apple sales.

This iphone 8 sounds awesome though, it's the phone we have been waiting for, for at least 2 years.

Great! The 6s is too big and the Display too small. Here is my money!

Wait! What is between 6s and 8? ;)

The reason Apple did so poorly with iPhone sales is that they never introduced a brand new iPhone 6 in a 4-inch model back in 2014 and tried to pass off a four year old iPhone 5 for three generations.

Customers ain't stupid.

Bring us a 4-inch model!!!

Lesson learnt the hard way, Apple!

Well the concept looks nice. I'd probably need adamantium armor on mine though, given how much I've dropped this 6s already.

5" 1080p would be great.

But I wish Apple put half as much effort into its Mac platform as they do the iPhone.

Here's hoping they will do just that with the Mac.

They could make the phone slimmer by removing the battery completely and add a cable. That would be courage and revolutionary!

[doublepost=1477508503][/doublepost]I totally agree that sacrificing the 4 inch iPhone was a big mistake. I will keep my old 5S for now, but need is hard pressed to find another 4 inch alternative. Hopefully the competition will be looking at this.

4.7, 5, or 5.5 - Decrease the physical body dimensions keeping the screen size. Have a wrapped corner etc etc. Mi Max edge display looks neat, but I still would prefer a small bezel on top for hearing. Keep the home button still, but make is smaller, especially now that is not a button at all, and needed mainly for fingerprint. And don't make it slippery!! On the 4.7 in model, you can shave off 0.4 inches in height.

Apple is working on three new iPhone 8 models to be released in 2017, all of which will include glass-backed bodies, reports Japanese news site Nikkei. Previous rumors have also pointed towards three iPhone 8 models, but past information suggested that Apple would release one "premium" glass-backed model with an OLED display and two "standard" aluminum models rather than three models with a glass body.

Citing a supply chain source, Nikkei says Apple will release the three iPhones in the following sizes: 5.5 inches, 5 inches, and 4.7 inches. The site still believes one premium model with a curved edge-to-edge OLED display will be sold alongside two models that have standard LCD displays.

All three iPhone 8 models will use glass supplied by Biel Crystal Manufactory and Lens Technology in China for both the front and back, which will be held together with an aluminum frame. Foxconn has been working on glass backs, but Biel is said to have the technological edge.

Because it is early in the development cycle, Nikkei warns that Apple's plans could still change and it could decide to scrap plans to offer three devices. In 2016, early iPhone 7 rumors also pointed towards three devices, including one 4.7-inch iPhone and two 5.5-inch models, one with dual cameras and one with a single camera. The single camera model was reportedly scrapped six months ahead of the iPhone 7's launch.

Rumors suggest Apple is planning on introducing significant design changes in the iPhone set to be released in 2017. Along with an edge-to-edge display that includes built-in Touch ID and other sensors, the device is said to include no Home button, advanced biometric features, an improved Taptic engine, and wireless charging.

BUT MY TEXT IS SO BIG!

It's not the size of the text that matters, it's what you do with it. :)

Even bigger troll detected.

I think that violates the laws of the troll-space continuum. I don't think a troll can troll a troll, while he's trolling.
