Right. Apple can’t multitask.;)

They certainly don't seem to do much of that in the way that significant resources are used for a few product lines while other products languish until the resources are reapplied. I think this has been well documented. Although seemingly snarky, your reply seems accurate.

Once Steve Jobs introduced “fun” gimmicks like iChat effects and Photo Booth, it was the beginning of the end of Apple. Computers are serious tools meant for serious uses for serious people.

Remember years ago when Apple's ads were just Macs spinning around on screen to music? Or a silhouette of a person with an iPod and white earbuds dancing on a colourful background? Ads from the "glory days"?

I don't see how these ads differ that much from those ads.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

The watch is packed with issues? AirPods? iPhones?

Sure their keyboards have caused some people some headaches, which I agree is unacceptable, but take a step back and look at the big picture.
[doublepost=1549644895][/doublepost]
Yeah, lets get the marketing and graphic design departments reassigned to hardware and software engineering! That'll do it!
Yes the iPhones are packed with security invulnerabilities, WiFI and signal loss issue, I've seen countless of AirPods randomly stopped working including mine which decided not to charge and the case wouldn't light up, until I had to Google for 3 hours in order to troubleshoot the issue which made me have to reset the AirPods countless of times and puting them in the charger in order for them 2 hours later deciding to charge. The newer Watch is suffering a massive battery drain when compared to the older versions, I let it charged 100% I go to bed, when I wake up the watch is a 83% with background usage disabled and no Apps opened in the background. This is the big picture, you can find many of reports similar to mine all over this forums, or if you're brave enough you can try a Google search, that might show you "the big picture". Open your eyes.

You seem to be confused. It's not an either/or/instead.

You apparently believe that there was an Apple meeting of upper level management a couple months ago, and a question was posed, such as: "We have an extra $250,000 available to spend. We're cashed strapped, so should we invest it into keyboard development, or video emojis? We can't do both."

Apple developing Emoji videos does not take away from Apple's development, $ or resources, in hardware. You might not be aware that Apple has enough money, and different teams, to do both.
Do you even read or pretend to make up arguments? I was stating what the guy meant on his reply.

Every single device on earth is packed with security vulnerabilities, they just have not been discovered yet. I dont know what WiFi or signal loss you speak of. Having owned a Xs since launch I have noticed no signal loss or degradation compared to previous phones. Looking around I cannot find any common issues with AirPods. I do not see anyone posting chronic issues with them. Mine and everyone I know with them (about 10-15 people) all rave about them. Assuming you sleep for 8 hours at a time it doesn't seem unreasonable that the watch would drain 17% over than period of time. I have a Series 4 watch and usually will end the day somewhere between 50-70% battery left. As long as it is good enough to get me through the day I dont see much of an issue just charging at night.

I have had the issues I listed, so I speak from my experience, you speak from yours. What's the deal right now?

These three videos amply demonstrate that a person wanting to break into the entertainment industry with a music video does not need to have a large crew of dancers, makeup artists, choreographers, camera and lighting crews. All they need is an upper end iPhone (prompting new purchase and the goal of commercial) and a video editing application.

I have done some things with LumaFusion, and while its a very capable iOS application, I don't think it could do what was done in these three videos. That means the targets of this commercial need to buy a Macintosh and Final Cut Pro (goal of the commercial). It seems like this commercial does meet the desires of Apple executives; inspire young people to buy more products.

What should be included with these commercials are links to tutorials of how the different effects were created using Macs and Final Cut Pro. Additionally if Apple executives want to keep customers in the stores and learn about the products they can actually offer classes of how these music commercials were created.

What exactly isn't modern about the OS, and what superior platform can you cite? And if you prefer a different OS, why do you inexplicably refuse to migrate there and instead stick with Apple's products, or are you just complaining for the sake of complaining?
[doublepost=1549640370][/doublepost]
.

The point of complaining is iOS is 10 YEARS OLD, There was at least OSX by the time the Mac was this old to replace the old legacy OS. And today there is no new replacement to cite, that’s a huge problem. Who are they going to buy once the duct tape holding this OS finally unravels. Apple was luck as there was SJ with Next, as BE software.
Android has been consistently obsoleting old hardware to make sure modern it doesn’t end up where Apple was, Blackberry was, Nokia was, Windows was, where they needed a complete new OS to handle the capabilities of the newest chips and hardware, Today iOS cannot harness a fraction of what their A Series Chips can do. They run 10 year old software as good as can be expected.
If you think this is all just fine, then Apple fan boys have their head in the sand just as deep as corporate,

...What is it you want these phones to do with all this untapped potential?

Are you citing Android making old phones obsolete as a good thing?

Because 99% of the people who are social media users, would love to know how these things are created. Remember that not everyone is a "creator" most people just want to enjoy life and seeing a company supporting their favorite artists is already a + on their list.

Sources of Android making old hardware obsolete? My Galaxy S3 still works as my audio player, my S5 does everything my iPhone X can do and more, its battery even lasts longer than the iPhone.

Mac OS X wasn't available until 17 years after the Macintosh launched.

It's based on NeXTSTEP, which is built on the Mach kernel from the '80s, and parts from UNIX-like BSD distributions. UNIX dates back to the '70s.

Android is built on top of Linux, which started in the early '90s as a lightweight UNIX clone. Google's working on Fuchsia to replace it, built from the ground up, but that's still years away.

Operating systems are much more complex than simply being "old".

Why we are discussing this in a thread about a cute commercial to air during an awards show is beyond me.

Because you do not seem to be able to wrap your head around what you just posted. Lol

This is technology we are talking about, not carpet. Technology moves quickly, if you stand still and make sure you support all the old ribbons on your Smith Corona typewriter because it makes your current customers happy and has nice margins, then you end up by the side of the road in business.
