I have taken my silicone case off a few times since launch and mine still looks new. Could be that some are defective or maybe the way the case some people take them off? I don't pull on the corner but take it off about half way between the bottom and half way point on the case so I don't put pressure on the thinner bottom edge

Possibility. I feel if certain instructions are necessary however they should be provided. Regardless I don't feel corners of mine should be "worn" like they are.

Maybe the corner was hit or scratched by something?

For the ones that have a white silicon case, I'm guessing it wont last much if it's constantly in and out of your pockets, right?

I always use jeans and I imagine that white would soon be gone.

I'm really not sure if I go with silicon white/black or a brown leather one.

I've found the leather case does go in and out of pockets more easily over the silicone. I've had my leather case (black) now for about a month and it doesn't show any wear.

The one thing I don't care for with the silicone case is the thin layer that surrounds the edges of the screen is a bit fragile and can rip when removing from the phone. Each case has its own set issues of wear and tear but when all is said and done I prefer the leather case as it feels almost like there isn't a case on it yet provides a good grip.

I'm really thorn between the brown leather or the black silicon case.
I'll be getting a white/silver iphone 6.

Why is it soo hard to choose!

Is there a difference in the LIP size/height between the leather and the silicone?

Owner of both, here. There is no difference (or hardly, if there is an empirical difference) between the size or fit between the leather and silicone cases. You can't go wrong with either case, I suppose that's what makes it quite difficult to choose between the two.

I got the silicone case and use it since end of last week. Yesterday i recognized that the bottom border, which is rather at the phone's back, is pretty loose. Once you press the edges together, it opens 1-2mm.

Does the case get wider over time? I do still have the possibility to return the it.

i've had the white cause on my 6 plus since release date... in jeans all the time, always in a my pocket... not a single blemish, discoloration, etc... still looks pure white and flawless.

I've had the white one silicone case for over two months. And although I haven't had it in and out of pants pockets, I've had it in and out of my purse. Initially I cleaned it a lot concerned that the white would get stained and crappy looking. After the first couple of weeks, I started mainly cleaning my phone screen and leaving the case. It still looks like new. I've also had it off and on many times with no damage to the corners of the case. This has been my favorite cases of all my iPhones.

Here is a picture of the mentioned gap when holding the phone at the bottom. Normal? Any comparison to the leather case?

Not even when pushing the sides together?

Just tried pushing bottom sides of my grey silicone case for 6 plus and it does open about 1mm just like your pic.
This is only when I intentionally squeeze the bottom sides but not in normal use.
Overall case has been amazing. Some don't like the feel but it's the best feeling case I've had, soft with super grip which helps a lot with holding the 6 plus.

I just tried with my green plus case and there was no flex or give.

I squeezed pretty hard on the bottom corners just like in the pic and got almost 1mm flex. It takes a hard squeeze, if you look at the pic you can see the fingers getting white from the squeeze.
Also I take my case off often so maybe mine has loosened up a tad.
Overall the case still has a tight fit but I am able to get the tiny gap when squeezing.
I alsohave not encountered any debri getting into the case from the bottom or anywhere else.

...gotta say my leather midnight blue case does the same however the gap is only literally 1mm and thats when only when I squeeze the corners in as hard as possible.

In normal day to day use, the gap is not there.

In my experience, as it picks up oils from your hands, it gets more slick and doesn't pick up much lint at all. Once you wash it, it's returned to its original grippiness. I haven't had any issues of staining or color changing, so I'll probably leave it alone and enjoy its low-lint state.

How should one go about washing it? Just soap/water? Mine is showing greasy spots due to naturally oily hands. The case has also gotten a bit slippery as a result. I love it otherwise.

This the beauty of silicone - you can wash it pretty much with anything - soap & water, glass cleaner, etc. I personally use leather cleaner just cause I like the feel after. To me it leaves a clean but smooth feel - not squeaky clean.
