I got the black silicone case for my 6. I love the feel of it, but I find it a bit slippery. It'll slide right through my fingers/palm unless I hold it pretty firmly. Definitely doesn't grab your skin like glossy TPU or polycarbonate.

Anyone else find the silicone case to be a bit slippery?

If it was any grippier you'd not be able to get it into your pocket. I find it perfect.

Okay, you might think I'm a little nutty, but I find once the silicone case is used a bit and picks up the oils from being handled, it's gets a bit of a slimy feel. I actually love the feel of it in hand. If I loosely hold the phone upright in my hand and don't grip it, it will slide. However, I don't find it slippery or not having enough grip. I tried the Caudabe, Shumuri and Laut hoping that one of these cases would have just a touch of texture for better grip. I think those polycarbonate cases are wicked slippery. Even though this type of polycarbonate case was my main case for my iPhone 5, I find it won't work for my 6+ as I need more grip. I ended up giving them all away. I like the feel of a TPU case except for I like a white case and that would never work in TPU.

So although I did try a few cases this time around, each time I went back to the Apple silicone case, I would remember how much I really like it. The only case that would now get a second look from me would be the same Apple case but with bottom coverage. Not that I'm concerned about the bottom getting scratched, but I think it just gives a more uniform look.

I've got the red silicone case as a Christmas present and I'm really suprised. Like it very much. It looks great with the space grey iPhone. I already have the black leather case which is also very nice.

The only problem is, the silicone case does not fit into my fitbag. It is not slippery enough.

I have the "black" silicone case which is grey. I like it but I hate the fact, that the case is a huge dust collector from my jeans.
Swapping 5 times per day in the case and out.

I've been using the white silicone case for a week or so and finding the same problem. Seems like lint and dust are attracted to the seams of the case.

I love the gripiness, but this may be going back in exchange for a dark navy leather case.

Came from an apple leather case to the red silicone and I like the silicone a lot better the grip it gives is what I was looking for

I recently ordered a 'black' genuine Apple silicone case for my iPhone 6 but after seeing a family members case on their 6 (it was full of lint and fingerprints all over the back of the case and just looked plain UGLY) - I no longer want it!

It hasn't even arrived yet - it's being posted to me by Apple (ordered via the Apple Store App).

I live in the UK so if anyone (also in the UK) wants this case off me (like I said, it will be brand new because it hasn't arrived yet - I won't be opening the actual pack to touch the case!) - send me a PM with your address details and it's yours for £20! You can PayPal me the dosh afer we have talked via PM!

Well I got the red silicone case to rock for the holidays
And after a week of using the case. I notice today that it as gotten a bit slippery sliding through my fingers palm like u say. So I clean the case with some rubbing alcohol. Got a lot better but still slides iif I don't grip it a little. So I put on my black leather case that I have been rocking since I got my 64 GB SG 6+ on 10/16. And I am not having that problem with the leather case. So I think i am going to return the red silicone case for a red leather case. Also to me the leather feels more premium in hand.

Mine is definitely being returned, I just haven't gotten around to it yet I also don't have another case yet, but a couple are on their way. This case sticks like crazy to fabric, not so much in your hand.

Are you using the red leather case as your daily case ? By the way where did you find that earth wallpaper it's very cool.

I've had both the red leather case and the red silicone, and I prefer the silicone. It does attract lint and dust from pockets, but that's fixed with a quick wipe off. The leather just didn't have enough grip to suit me, and the silicone has plenty of that, and a nicer feel, but it still goes in and out of my pockets fine.

The silicone case I find singular is its ability to dredge dust from pockets. It will be returned with regrets because I liked the feel of it during a table pickup and while in hand. If I couple this with people's experience of eventual slimy feel, then it's clearly going to be returned.

I had even pulled the jeans pocket inside out and shook it. The case still manages to attract dust and matter. Then I put the leather case in the same pocket and no lint hitched a ride on it. Then I put the silicone in once again and it was coated with dust and lint. Quite remarkable.

Maybe Steve would say, "don't put it in your pocket."

It frequently pulls my pockets inside out as well. I'm eager to return this case but I still don't have another. Watching that mailbox.

I am taking mine back to the Apple Store in the morning, got the red silicone case for the holidays. I was going to get the red leather case but wanted to give the silicone a try. But after using my black leather case since 10/16 when I got my SG 6+. The silicone didn't feel the same as the leather to me, and after a week it has gotten kind of slippery, gave it a good cleaning and it felt a little better, but would still slide through the fingers/ palm if I dont grip it a little. This is not so with the leather, it feels like it has more grip than the silicone case to me. So I am going swap it out for the red leather case. And besides the leather feels more premium in the hand to me.

Strange because in the store the leather felt like it had zero grip to me, while the first impression of the silicone was that it was perfectly grippy. I've toyed with exchanging the silicone for the leather one, but the price of the leather case is just over the top.

If it weren't for some gift exchanges, I might not be owning the Apple leather case due to its price. That, plus a sense of Christmas splurge helped me to bring it on.

Well i just clean both cases just now and gave them a try again. Wash my hands and put some lotion on. The silicone still tends to slide through my fingers/Palm if I don't give it a little grip. The leather doesn't have this problem at all. It sits in the fingers/palms with little or no effort at all. Is leather supposed to have more grip than silicone? I know that the silicone would Be a better shock resistance material than the leather. But not as grippy maybe?

I have the Lester but tired the silicone. Returned it within 2 days. Hated it and the grime that it picks up.

Agree the price is little steep for a case that doesn't even cover the bottom of the phone. I guess we are paying for the leather, but got to admit though the leather feels really nice in the hand.
